The guy in that last ad is former England international footballer Gary Lineker. He's actually the second highest goalscorer for England and won the golden boot at 1986 world cup. I went to a friendly against Brazil where he could have equalled the record but he missed a penalty
He's now a sports presenter and has been advertising Walkers for the last 20 years. Basically, because he's from Leicester where the crisps are made.
I think for a while the salt and vinegar flavour crisps where actually called salt 'n' Lineker.
