My own view is that they have to be more or less the same size. Otherwise, what's the point? Ever hear of weight classes?
Of course, apart from the Olympics, people who do recreational wrestling, i.e. for fun, may not be too strict about weight and size. But in that case, there should be other factors to make it more even. A one-sided match will be over quickly and won't be very interesting.
For example, in my match with Fuchsia (Michelle), she is half my size but superior in every other way, physically. So it was curtains for me! But I think it was pretty fair, with my enormous weight advantage and I recognize she pinned me fair and square. But 10-15 years ago, the result would have been different.
