Yes James, I am aware how the laws on soliciting work, but to say that their interpretation is a "Grey Area" is putting it mildly. Just last year, two "massage patlours" in Manchester were raided by the police and have remained shut ever since. They had been in operation for some years and had discrete shop fronts with no visible adverts. They did have websites but did not openly advertize their wares. The situation was similar to the sale of softcore magazines sold in newsagents during the 1970's, again in Greater Manchester. Under the direction of "God's Cop" James Anderton, shops would be raided and have their stock of magazines removed. They were usually given back to the newsagent months later ( when they were no longer current mags). No apology was usually given. I know that this happened, because I was one of those newsagents at the time.
