I would think that receiving extra time would be a reasonable trade-off for not getting exactly the session you'd planned, but that's just me.

The extra 1/2 hour wasn't compensation or any kind of trade-off at all, because she didn't do hardly anything (far less than "not exactly") she agreed to do, other than to show up. It was just more nothing I didn't request or expect.
As an analogy: If you were to hire a personal trainer for an hour and he or she showed up and just socialized for 1.5 hours without giving any training help, I don't think most people would consider the extra time spent as a reasonable trade-off.
