Very solid analysis, Jiminy. You said pretty everything that needed to be said, but as @[Only Registered Users Can See LinksClick Here To Register] noted, the fight looked nothing like many fans were expecting. There was never any furious rush by Justine and there was never a real takedown attempt.

I gave Round 2 to Holly, but none of the other rounds were even debatable. For 20 of the 25 minutes, Justine clearly got the better of Holly, even though Holly did land several damaging strikes.

Holly clearly lost, but this was a much better fight than that carnival sideshow she had with the Dutch girl earlier in the year. Nevertheless, I'm still not enamored with the pure boxing/kickboxing fights. I want to see some grappling, too.

It was definitely Holly’s plan to come in as heavy as she could for this fight. And she succeeded; she was nearly as strong as Cyborg here. But in doing so she sacrificed quickness, and that’s why the striking results were what they were.

Can’t blame her though. No other plan would have worked.

Me too. Being, of course, that’s there only one woman in the 145 division and the others, like Megan, Amanda, Germaine, and Holly are merely making guest appearances for the money.

Let Cyborg fight Gabi Garcia and see what it feels like to fight a woman 40 pounds heavier than her.
Cyborg would knock out Gabi Garcia inside 30 seconds

Wow that photo of Holly is interesting I did think she got that messed up. Her left eye looks real bad. Are there any day after photos of Cyborg out there ?

I know that most people aren't into it, but that's fucking hot to me.

One of the things a lot of people don't understand is that the swelling will disappear and those wounds will heal. She'll be fine.

There was more swelling overnight. Justine has heavy hands. She wasn't just tagging Holly with jabs - she landed several damaging shots. As I mentioned going in, I had never seen Holly have to survive a brawl, but she's one of the tougher women on the planet and can take more punishment than most people on earth. That beating she took from Anne Sophie 5-6 years ago was one of the most brutal I've ever seen.

So, I married a French fighter.

Kunitskaya vs Cyborg this coming weekend is the biggest betting mismatch I have ever seen in the sport. Cyborg is as high as -1800 in some places, while Kunitskaya is at +1200 coming back the other way. To put it in perspective, Holly Holm was only +800 going into her fight vs Ronda Rousey.

Even though Cyborg is probably a lock to win, I don't think the mid-level player is laying $18,000 to win $1000.

I like Kunitskaya but Cyborg is in a different league. I'm worrying about Kunitskaya's face.
