Default Why skilled women are difficult to defeat the first time.

I think wrestling a female is different than wrestling a male as far as strategy is concerned. If you are used to wrestling men, the first time you session with a skilled female wrestler you may get defeated badly.

Here are some reasons why I think that is the case.

1. When guys wrestle they often rely on overwhelming upper body strength. Therefore, other guys tend to practice techniques to counter that style of wrestling. When you encounter a female wrestler, her offense will most likely focus more on leveraging techniques that the male opponent is not used to practicing against. It will feel like punching your way out of a paper bag.

2. Guys tend to be less flexible. When you get a male opponent in certain positions they are essential stuck. When a man wrestles a female he make work hard to get her into a hold that will render a man unable to move, but she will be able to use her legs to do a reversal. It is actually very difficult to hold a session wrestler in a position against her will because of this.

3. Guys have shorter legs relative to their upper bodies. When wrestling a woman of the same height, her hips are higher up than yours and can be very advantageous if the woman knows what to do in a standing position. If you are wrestling a taller woman who knows what she is doing, it will be very difficult to man handle her down from a standing position.

4. Woman may be weaker, but have lots more endurance. If the man were to use overwhelming strength to try to win, he will wear himself out. All the woman has to do is roll with the moves until he gets tired. At that point his strength advantage will be gone.

In conclusion, I think in order to be successful against session wrestlers you have to train consistently against female partners who meet the following criteria...They need to be more flexible than you, must have better technique, must be taller than you, or at least with longer legs.

Why a girl, an olympic 100 meters runner, is faster than you, and this not the first time?

Talent, training, skill and will to win!
