For a few years in the mid 80's Judell had her camp Amazon in Montana. Is there anyplace a person can purchase a copy of these matches ?

Judell moved to Montana after her divorce and the end of the California Amazon. She was originally from Montana. She did set up a small Amazon there but lack of finance and not having her ex husbands marketing expertise meant it never reached any great heights. I expect the only place you will find copies of videos from there is the Rockin Roxanne site - but you will be buying pirated copies. I know that Jacqy has plan to hopefully one day re-release all of Judell's material, so maybe patience is the solution.

It seems that some of you folks know allot more about the history of the different Amazon camps. Do any of you guys remember what years Judell was back in Montana operating the Amazon there ?

Judell moved from California to Montana in 1985 after her divorce from Jack Snr. She lived in Polson, which I believe was her original home town where she was raised.
She moved from Montana to Lynden, Washington State in 1991 after remarrying. The Washington Amazon was started in 1993. I have their original brochure which I received on 3rd September, 1993. It closed in about 1998.

Neither the Montana or Washington Amazons were as successful as the California Amazon. I suspect there were two reasons for that. Firstly, she did not have Jack Snr's marketing expertise to rely on, and by the late 80s and 90s there was a lot more competition from other producers than there had been in the 70s and 80s.

Interestingly Brandy Hawke's group ran from about 1989 until about 1992 or 1993 and was based in Vancouver, Washington. A pity the two groups never got together.

We went on a road trip a short while ago in which I drove though Polson Montana. While we passed the little town my mind was thinking about Judel and the old Amazon. One of the first things that popped into my pea brain was - wow this is a nice town BUT it sure is small. How did she find wrestlers here ? It’s not like LA where you have millions of women to recruit from. I think Polson may have 5.000 people in it or so. Did she have women come to Polson from California or were they local women ?

AK, I can't give you any specific details, but the attached extract from the first brochure Judell sent out after moving to Montana may give you some idea of what Polson was like.

She never said explicitly, but she made reference in one newsletter during her troubles with the police, et al, "I will not have what I've worked so hard for for so many years destroyed by midlife crises!" I got the picture.

It seems that Jack Sr. couldn't resist sampling the merchandise
(In other words, the temptations of having young, nubile, scantily clad girls about the premises proved too great for Mr. DuLong)

In one of her last, if not the last newsletter from the California Amazon, Judell stated that everything bad that happened in her life was because of her wrestling business!
