Video Trimming Help Required.

Thanks to those who suggested Windows Movie Maker, however the following problem was encountered. WMM did exactly what you said it would do----it successfully trimmed my video and retained the sound. However, the resulting trimmed clips were in some wierd format called .wlmp files, which would only play in Windows Movie Maker. They could NOT be converted to mp4, avi or wmv because all the conversion programs that I tried could not even see the .wlmp file. Further research established that .wlmp is not even a proper file. It is a project by Microsoft specifically for the Movie Maker. Does anyone have any further ideas on this problem ?

On the toolbar at the top you'll see "Save movie". Click on that and follow the simple instructions to save either mp4 or WMV.

bonnie, the following works for me (on a Mac) using VLC:



Go to the control panel on top of screen; tap record to start
and then tap again to stop. that section will be downloaded
somewhere on your computer (you may have to hunt for it)
and will look something like this:



sometimes the extension "mp4" will be "avi" or "wmv" but each of these
work for me (most of the time but not always) and gives both sound and
picture. Good Luck

I do all my video trimming and editing on mobile but this is my app list. Pro versions aren't necessary but helpful. Requires some work around with some file types but that lineup will get the job done. For picture edits I use the apps in the second picture, covers all bases, again pro isn't needed but helpful.
