Post Why do we have a forum?

Quasi-philpsophical question. We have a forum plenty of photos, videos, pictures, stories. Maybe the biggest mixed wrestling database on the internet. This is a valuable resource but presents some problem: for example we need to go back for hundreds pages to find something out (by the way: its just me or the search option is in fact not so effective?). The "real" forums here are mainly the session reviews and the discussion sector. Have you ever taken in consideration the possibility to create a proper site?

You are right, the search function in this forum is not the best.
G o o g l e delivers better results: Just type: site:malevsfemale.org "search term"

Everyone is entitled to there opinions, but I think this is one that should have been private messages to the administrator here.

A proper site? You can't critique something without at least what is wrong with it other than implying it isn't 'proper'

In my opinion, it's a fair "open" question. When I asked Zweig about this previously, he said his preference for those seemingly endless threads was for organizational purposes. Even though I myself may prefer to mix in a bit more freshness (a new thread of a topic that's been discussed previously can make something a top of the mind item again), I think his reasoning does make sense.

I think the biggest issue with respect to vibrancy is that most users are consumers - which is totally fine, of course - and have little to no interest in participating in ongoing discussions about anything whatsoever related to the content here. Maybe it's the privacy of the fetish interest or maybe it's just wanting the visual content and having no desire to talk about it. The landscape has changed. People do still like to talk to one another, but the forums of the early/mid-2000s have been largely replaced by Facebook- and Twitter-like exchanges.

NOTE: To be clear, I am not saying that this is remotely related to the OP's primary complaint. In that statement, I am only replying to a message I have seen pop up from time-to-time.

Ok, easy I wasn't complaining nor criticizing the excellent work that Zweig has done, together with all the people that helped him. Not at all. I'm happy to stay here and very grateful to him, like many of you. How can you blame someone that put so much passion in this work expecting nothing in exchange? About my comment for the "search option" it's just a matter of fact that doesn't work fine but also crystal clear that is due to the web platform and it's not up to you. I was just wondering if the admins had ever thought the possibility to develop this forum into something else or not. That's all

I just wrote a reply to a new post in the women's MMA section, but when I tried to post it, the page refreshed to a merged thread and what I had typed was gone.

I like talking with like minded people, who share a similar interest.
