I'm told Rousey didn't suffer a serious injury in the fight. More hurt emotionally than physically, is how she was currently described.

No word on if it will happen, but boy, it'd go a long, long way for the public if Rousey spoke. Can erase a lot in 5 mins, esp after a loss.

Think the ref could have let her hit the floor before calling it off. Yeah she ate a few big punches but she was still on her feet and moving, not leaning against the cage or anything, doubt the outcome would have changed but there was a chance still for a clinch of a throw.

This is the swan song not only for Rousey, but also for women's mma. The public interest will subside and eventually nobody will care anymore. The 145 lbs division is a dud now that Cyborg doped again. The most interesting division now is strawweight but it will not soar to the levels of bantamweight, Joanna doesn't have 5% of the charisma that Ronda had in her prime.

Ronda was done. Good stoppage.
Talking about Cyborg... what if Ronda acuallty fought Cyborg ? She would be dead...

Mixed emotions.

As with Nunes/Tate, it wasn't much of a fight, was it?

I hoped Mandy would win, because the sport didn't need Ronda coming back, winning the belt and promptly retiring, or only fighting once more and then stopping. She has to be 100% in or 100% out.

But I can't help feel sorry for Ronda. It must really hurt to invest all that energy getting back into the shape of your life only to get shredded in 48 seconds. Ronda had zero impact in this match. She was dispatched so quickly and so decisively. It was a perfect performance from Nunes and a big statement that the Rousey era is finished.

Rousey looked almost as helpless as me during sessions

I am wondering, for years she seemed unbeatable, and now 2 clear defeats, when especially today she looked somewhat like a jobber, did the opponents get so much better recently ? Or did she only face weaker girls before in order to get pushed to the top and be the (beautiful) face of UFC to be a promotion tool for the company ?

Diaz’s boxing coach: Ronda Rousey said she never had anybody train her like I did

Richard Perez, who is most notably known as the boxing coach of both Nick and Nate Diaz, talks about training Ronda Rousey.

by Milan Ordoñez@Mr_Ordonez Nov 5, 2016, 8:00am EDT

Since she began her professional career, Ronda Rousey has been training under boxing coach Edmond Taverdyan at the Glendale Fight Club. It is a decision that many people have questioned, including her own mother, Dr. Ann Maria De Mars.

Taverdyan went under heavy criticism when Rousey badly lost to Holly Holm almost one year ago. This has led a good number of fans to clamor for her to jump ship and switch to another trainer. But apparently, she had already previously worked with another notable trainer, Richard Perez.

Perez, who is best known for his work with both Nick and Nate Diaz at Cesar Gracie’s gym in Lodi, spoke to BJPenn.com Radio about his experience training “Rowdy.”

“You know to be honest with you, I don’t know how she is being trained over there [at Glendale Fighting Club]. I know I trained her for a couple fights before and she did really good,” Perez recalled. “I mean I trained her really hard, she loved it. She said she never had anybody train her like I did. You know, I don’t know what they do over there so I can’t give an answer on how it’s gonna come out.”

Rousey is aiming to reclaim her title against the current champion Amanda Nunes at UFC 207 on December 30th. Perez says he is open to train Rousey for her upcoming fight, as he had already planned out a vague game plan, piggybacking from the Holm fight.

“Nunes is a pretty busy fighter. So, what she has to do is she has to take away the kicks and the punches that Nunes is gonna do so that she can take her down. So, that is something that I’d have to work with her.”

“When she fought Holly, she came out the wrong way,” he continued. “She came out forward, throwing and swinging and not paying attention, not trying to take her down real hard. She just didn’t set anything up. I don’t know what happened. I don’t know, maybe the training camp was good and she starts thinking. Like when I said, when a fighter gets in there, sometimes they change their mind. Once they get in there they think, ‘OK, I can do this.’ I don’t know.”

“I would definitely tell her don’t make the mistake that you did last time. Go out there forward and just focus on one thing. Be sharp, make her miss, move around, you know cause Nunes is gonna be a striker. Ronda has to focus on throwing good strikes but yet trying to shoot on her at the same time. It’s all about timing.”

The comments to the article are hilarious by the way...

That's very unfair to Ronda.

Whatever anyone thinks of her, she paved the way for the women's division, end of story. She fought the best around at the time. Can't ask for more than that.

The women's division is established because of Ronda.

Yes her time is over, and frankly she doesn't need to take anymore punches to the head. I hope she can recover mentally, find some peace, get rid of the arseholes in her life and enjoy the money she's earned.

Farewell to the former 'Baddest bitch on the planet'.

P.S if anyone disagrees with that sentiment, shove it up your nostrils!

Not sure you can say that. Verse common opponents before Amanda fight. Ronda 7-0. Amanda 4-3. Last two fights were just match up nightmares.
