Ya very. Would be even funnier if Severa saw his posts and then let him book a session. She used to post messages at some of the better Yahoo groups so you never know.

Severa used to do competitive. According to the accounts I have read she quit the competitive sessions for sake of safety for her clients; and her semi- competitive is as rough or rougher then the competitive sessions of other session wrestlers.

Competitive sessions are high risk because there are idiots out there who go to far. A lot of girls have quit the business or refuse competitive because of it.

She might have had a session with Betty so she stopped lol. Not many amateurs can beat professional. It doesn't matter the size.

Bettie is a pro MMA fighter not a pro bjj practitioner. Not the same thing at all. Severa is a huge, strong, and very skilled bjj practitioner who has achieved the level of black belt. I have met some of the best such as Kathy from London, Helen von Mott, yasmin, and toned tommi, and can tell you none has me as helpless as severa except for maybe helen. I do not discount Bettie's skill but in this case severa size would win out in a grappling or bjj setting. If striking were involved, I cannot honestly judge since I have never done a striking session and have no first hand knowledge.

Agreed. An MMA match is a lot different than a BJJ match, and not all decent MMA fighters are focused completely on winning by ground submission. While Bettie might win at a striking fight, Severa would win at a ground fight.

Like I read from a UFC fighter, the best way to start MMA is to learn a good striking art and a good clench / escape art. From there, they can progress to ground work. There's too many times that people think BJJ is the be-all end-all art until a striker mashes their face in before they finish their shoot in.

Of course, Rousey is the pioneering exception to this, but I attribute that to the lower quality of fighters in WMMA. I honestly believe that she should not have gotten as far as she has, and it troubles me to read that Tate is just now learning Judo counters and defense. Really? It took her this long to figure that out?

I never said they were the same. Bettie is great at bjj as she has won more arm bars than Rousey. I have met with a few very good ladies, Tommi is one and Ve Ve Lane is another. I take nothing away from them because they are both great. In all ladies I have faced Bettie was the best. I never faced Severa and I am sure she is great and hopefully I get a chance. Bettie I hope reaches the big apple again because she is the real deal and I loved facing her. She is a professional and she can strike and all but she is great at bjj but I don't know her belt rank.

I`ve been a Severa fan for a long time, ever since she came on the scene as a Dominatrix in 1999.

Never got to meet her, had a chance once but she came along to late for me.

I think she is the baddest badass female session wrestler of them all.

Anyone disagree If so lets hear it
I agree !!! She is amazing and super !!!

I went looking and found that "Bettie" is "a blue belt under Olavo Abreau"
