Given the fact that she plays the role of the bad guy on purpose I am sure she is well aware of those folks who hate her and don't get that she is playing a role. No need to publicly humiliate yourself. She knows.

AS VEGAS -- While Cris Cyborg may have suffered the first loss of her young Muay Thai career on Friday night, she still took away one crucial positive from the experience.
Cyborg regained my respect after that loss, honestly. She is a warrior. And an all-around fighter. I don't see Ronda being able to do what Cyborg has accomplished in a different type of martial arts. Cyborg annihilated the very tough Jennifer Colomb in her previous fight. Even though she lost to Baars, she was a force to be reckoned with, and it was her 3rd muay-thai fight I believe. Jorina Baars is arguably the best female muay-thai fighter in the world with 30+ wins and no losses and Cyborg gave her a nice whooping. But Baars technique prevailed at the end. If it was an MMA fight, Cyborg would easily win - she took Jorina down many times each round with ease. If you haven't seen this bout, you should definitely watch it, it is a beautiful beautiful fight:

It is set now that Cyborg is going to be fighting at 135 lbs. And we might finally see a Ronda vs Cyborg match.

what fight did you watch? In the one I watched Cyborg got her ass kicked. It was a joke. It just showed how little chance Cyborg really has against Rousy in MMA. How does Cyborg beat Rousy? Clearly not with her Muy Thai skills.

Losing a MT fight lessens her chances of winning? I never knew Ronda was an expert MT or a stand up specialist.

No it demonstrates that her one assumed advantage aint what it was believed to be.

I wouldn't call her a specialist but did you watch her last two fights? Whose standup has looked better recently? Rousey or Cyborg? If you see Cyborg beating Rousey how do you see it happening? All I see at this point is a total mismatch.

That's debatable.

Cyborg, an MMA fighter by trade who went up against a legit World champion MT fighter. I'll admit one thing Cyborg fans greatly exaggerate her Boxing but Rousey fans are just as worse to jump and that bandwagon and discredit Cyborg abilities.

Rousey's stand up has improved, but she beat Davis and McMann, neither of which don't come close to the level of Baars.

You're definition of a mismatch is a strange one considering Cyborg is the stronger of the two on their feet where as Rousey has the advantage on the ground. So basically Ronda has the skills to submit Cyborg and Cyborg has the ability to win via KO/TKO. That's hardly a mismatch.

Her "abilities" are an issue given her history of PEDs. I am still quite surprised at how people are blowing off the ass kicking she recieved at the hands of Baars. Were the Cyborg fans predicting she would get her ass kicked before it happened? Is that what Cyborg expected? I think it's fair to say that fight was a huge indicator that Cyborg's stand up was profoundly over rated. Particularly by Cyborg herself.

Let's step back and put things in perspective. Rousey destroyed Davis and McMann in 16 seconds and 38 seconds with her standup. Cyborg got her ass kicked by Baars with her standup. I don't think Cyborg goes through Davis and McMann the way Rousey did. Based on recent performances Rousey looks substantially better in the standup than Cyborg. To date no one has even so much as rocked Rousey. So how do you figure Cyborg has the ability to KO Rousey but Rousey doesn't have the ability to KO Cyborg? I see Rousey as being better in the stand up and much much better on the ground. And more importantly I see Rousey as vastly superior in her transitions from one phase to the other. I don't think Cyborg lasts more than a minute in this fight. We have seen Rousey utterly and completely destroy top flight opposition with a level of speed and precision usually only seen in choreographed movie fights. Can you point to any examples of a drug free Cyborg looking anywhere near as good in MMA against equal opposition?

Invicta was in active at the time, I guess she wanted to keep busy I guess.

Obviously Rousey looks better she won LOL. How do you not factor in that Davis and McMann aren't stand up fighters where as Baars is a MT world champ?

I don't think I ever said Rousey doesn't have the ability to KO Cyborg.

Remind me again, how many TKO/KO wins Rousey has compared to Cyborg?

If you honestly don't believe Cyborg can't compete with Rousey with her stand up then clearly I'm wasting my time. No surprise that Ronda fans aren't able to put their bias aside.

Equal opposition? They both fight in different weight classes right But I'll answer that question anyway.

Marloes Coenen. Beat her before she was caught with drugs and beat again after her ban.

There are no Bantom weights who can take Rousey. UFC tailered the weight class to give her an advantage. It would take a middle weight to defeat her and it might be hard to find one of those who can.

I`m curious to find out how times she has to win to make believers out of you guys. She threw a punch that was hard enough to break one of her fingers and people still say she can`t fight

So you are telling me you think Cyborg looks as good in this fight as Rousey has looked in her last two fights? Seriously?

If this is what Cyborg looks like off the PEDs then this is more of a mismatch than I had already thought. I give her 30-40 seconds. Max
