Default Help requested from newbie

Hi everyone, I hope this isn't the wrong place to make such a request, but I can count my tech knowledge on the fingers of a quadruple amputee. I have some nice artwork I'd love to post here, but the scans (JPEG) are coming out in a file size too large to post. Can anyone make a suggestion as to how to modify JPEG's that are too big? Sorry to be a tech-dunce.
Gracias!

If you have Photoshop, open the image inside Photoshop,
go to "Image" (horizontal bar at the top) then "Image size"
In "Resolution" change the number there (Pixels/Inch), enter a lower number.
You can also Change With and Height, itīs basically the same, there is a
relation between with-height and resolution.
Also when you save as jpg, in jpg options you can change the quality from
maximum to a lower value, for example "High" will be very reasonable.
A jpg format have a lot of good quality compression.
Also check the size in the File Explorer (windows)

There are several ways to do this. I don't have photoshop but this same thing can be done with paint or Windows media. It's just a matter of cliking on edit and plugging in a few numbers. I usually use the pixels menu.

You could also download free image editor software and use it to resize your scans.

I use FastStone Image Viewer [Only Registered Users Can See LinksClick Here To Register]

IrfanView also seems to be popular although I've never used it myself.
[Only Registered Users Can See LinksClick Here To Register]

There are probable others but those two seem to be the most popular and easy to use.
