She could. A female fighter is not going to hit harder than a male fighter. Real science says otherwise.

If female fighters indeed punch or kick harder than a male fighters, why fight organizers don't put them in the same ring for a real fight?
Fight promotors knows very well why not.
Let's face it. Gina can probably punch or kick harder than 90 % of male population in her weight class. But not that hard as the best male fighters.
For me this is the same as 100m sprint.
Howmany males can run faster than 11 seconds? Not many. I was (not quite succesful) amater bicycle racer. Of course we train sprints as well. I never manage to drop under 12 seconds. The best female sprinters can run faster than 11 seconds. But in the meanwhile male champions can run this distance faster than 10 seconds.

Woman has certain advantages over man. They are able to focus better. Gina was probably more focused than her male "opponent" and she probaly controled her muscles better. But one think is punching a dummy...and completelly another thing is punching an opponent who's trying to escape and even punch back.

And another thing. Most man are unconfortable to hit a women. Hit her for real. Most of us was raised in "never hit a girl" manners. This could be certanin advantage for female fighter against her male opponent.
And the crowd of course. They would be completely on HER side.

But what if male opponent is not a "gentleman"? Dude who knocked out Lucija wasn't.

You can't say that in absolute terms regarding men & women. It stands to reason that some girls are going to hit harder than some men, especially when you factor in size.

Same as in other sports where data can be observed, some female weightlifters lift more than some men (elite women vs journeyman men). Elite big girls like Nadezda Evstyukhina and Tatiana Kashirina lift more than elite little men.

In Tennis, some girls hit the ball harder and record faster average serve speeds than some men.

No one is saying all females kick harder than all males. This is comparing the best female striker to a male fighter than no one has heard of. There are also factors in a fight such as ability to take hits, quickness, handspeed, ect. that are all much more important than the force of your most powerful kick (which is why Lucija lost). Just because you lose a fight doesn't mean you couldn't hit harder. Kimbo Slice probably had a much stronger punch when given the time to wind up than all the guys he lost to in the UFC
