Default Girls who wrestled in school

Girls in the U.S. have been involved in high school and middle school wrestling for over 25 years, while girls in Canada, Scandinavia, France, and Germany have wrestled for much longer. There are probably hundreds of thousands of girls who have been schooled in the grappling arts, and who very well might school thier boyfriends and husbands. Have any posters here ever dated or married a girl or woman who learned to wrestle in school? Any female posters on this site who were wrestling veterans prior to meeting men who would just as soon wrestle you as bed you?

Very interesting thread. So I'm bumping this.

I don't have a whole lot personally to contribute other than the fact that two girls in high school I knew a bit had wrestling experience. One was fairly obviously a lesbian at that point and wrestled with the guys on the team and got a lot of crap for it, unfortunately. I believe "she" actually identifies as a dude now and/or had a sex change. (I forget which)

Another girl had a dad who was a very accomplished amateur wrestler. I remember in gym class, she briefly grappled with another girl kinda informally...that will be forever seered in my memory as one of the roots of my fetish. :-)

In the past I have gotten to wrestle two women that wrestled in school. The first was Flexzee from Wisconsin and the other was Mae from Portland. Mae is a good wrestler and Flexzee was the best I have ever seen.

My ex was a wrestler and quite accomplished, i train bjj myself so we wrestled a couple of times but to be completely honest with you she wasn't much of a challenge for me.
she knew how to fight but at the end of the day she was like 8 inches shorter and probably 45 lbs lighter.

interesting in this regard: my current girlfriend actually likes to wrestle with me also as a kind of foreplay, she enjoys it more if I beat her but keeps it quite competitive.
while she never took any martial arts classes she is much harder to beat than my ex who wrestled for a couple of years
she only does some fitness training, but she is much taller than my ex and we are much closer in terms of size, also she has some good natural strength
after I showed her how to do some basic pins, how to keep a guard and not to turn away and give up you back our wrestling is actually kind of competitive

Yes, I have known quite a few real girl wrestlers
Just regular girls, it seems to me. Nothing really different about them at all.
Some a really nice, though

You really don't think they're different at all? I mean, maybe even more athletic and or tomboyish than the average girl?

My experience is that women who are good at or genuinely enjoy wrestling usually were exposed to it through their brothers or male friends growing up.

You can't always generalize, but it's rare that the type of girls who were gunning to be prom queen were going out for high school wrestling. But maybe where you grew up it was different?

Some of the playboy playmates were hs wrestlers according to their bios. I started seeing this after the 90's. I know at least one of them said they liked making the boys cry.

I think several were prom queens (Shannon Williams?).
Certainly more athletic but a lot of them are quite shy!
