Johnny had an incredible collection of vintage wrestling photos. He loved the stufff Judell Dulong produced, and IMO it was indeed the best, at least until DWW came along. I always looked forward to corresponding with him and checking out whatever he had posted because I knew it would be top-quality. He will very much be missed. One of the best guys I've come aross in this hobby or whatever we call it.
I don't get to come to this forum very often, and certainly not nearly as frequently as I should. However, as brsimmons has said, I knew Johnny very well. I met him through our mutual interest in female wrestling and he was a close personal friend for 30 years. I was also a moderator of the Sherri group with him. His passing came as a great shock, particularly the way it happened. He actually took his own life in June 2016. Unbeknown to me and many others he had been suffering from depression but never discussed it - a lesson there for all of us. I note one poster commented about what age he might have been. He was 63, so very much was around during the days of Judell in California.

How sad. I was very much involved in the Sheri group too and very thankful of everything posted. Johnny knew when I posted even if under a separate name that it was me, which surprised me......

Hope you are well.

I have honestly no idea who the thread refers to, but my sincere condolences.
It certainly appears this Johnny made an impact on the community.
