Re: The Premiership Title 2015/2016
OK ! I've calmed down a bit now. But honestly, their recent record is pretty poor for would be Champions. They have not beaten any of the top six teams this season and against the top eight this season, they have the following record.
Wins-------1 Draws------3 Losses-----6 That is just 6 points from a possible 30. Bloody dreadful. |

Bonnie, being Gunners supporters, we know exactly how you feel. Some how the boys from Highbury will blow something wide open and let another team ahead and then fall further. I'm sorry about the Spurs doing it again; I really don't like them for some reason. Here's a thought, maybe you need "The Chosen One". He's without a job right now, isn't he?

Re: The Premiership Title 2015/2016
Oh God, we don't want him. We might have one good season with him in charge, then he'd go on his merry way, leaving a burnt out team behind. He's the original "Three Year Man". We need someone who will stay with the Club a long time and build up a genuine partnership with his team. Someone very much like your Monsieur Wenger would fit the bill nicely.

Re: The Premiership Title 2015/2016
Well no Premiership football this week----Mickey Mouse football all the way. FA Cup today, bloody stupid Champions League midweek and Capital One Cup next weekend. Bloody boring and something that gets in the way of the Premiership title.

Re: The Premiership Title 2015/2016
Do you think they play too many matches during the season? There are 38 (?) Premiership matches, many FA Cup and then several other Champions League and various shield and cup matches. It just seems like too much that takes away from the League matches, which I think should be uppermost in the FA mind.

Re: The Premiership Title 2015/2016
Oh God, sometimes it's just so hard being a Bluenose. Arsenal and Spurs both lose----a great chance for City to close the gap, and what happens ? The bloody Scousers beat us, that's what. Sometimes I just don't understand what's going on. Why announce that you're changing managers midseason, when you're still in with a shout at ALL four competitions. Bloody lunacy. Such behaviour does not encourage loyalty. Some team members ( and we know who they are ) were always going to lollygag when they knew their manager was on his way. I have not seen such disloyalty shown by a board since Chelsea sacked Avram Grant after only finishing up as runners up in the Champions League and the Premiership. And, yes Ellie, I do think there are too many matches. As far as I'm concerned, the Premiership comes way ahead of all these other Mickey Mouse Cups and competitions. They just get in the way of the real stuff----and that includes the Champions League.

Re: The Premiership Title 2015/2016
Well, it didn't happen this season, but congratulations to Leicester City anyway. They succeeded against all the odds, but doing it back to back is the really hard trick. Next season is going to be really interesting. Just imagine, if in the unlikely event of Man City winning the Champion's League, the lame excuses of City's Board trying to justify getting rid of Pellegrini.

Re: The Premiership Title 2015/2016
Truly special and magical season. One which I was able to start enjoying once I fully accepted that Villa was going down and I could just jump on the Leicester bandwagon with everyone else. Crazy things happen in a tournament like Greece winning the Euros, but never something like this over the course of 38 games.

Re: The Premiership Title 2015/2016
Man City 1, Chelsea 3. Well, I've calmed down a bit since Saturday and realize that I have just seen the team that will win this season's Premiership title and it isn't City. Yes, I know that it's early days, but mark my words, Chelsea will be crowned Champions next year. We just aren't good enough. There, I've said it. Now pass me the mouthwash.

Re: The Premiership Title 2015/2016
Pretty sad ending for City as well going out like that and now will be without some key players for a few games. Early in the season it looked like it was City's league to take with how quickly they had adapted to Pep's style, but then teams have realized that they can attack City's defense and they just don't have the players to handle it. I also agree that Chelsea is the most likely team to win the league, and probably somewhat comfortably. N'Golo Kante was the best signing any team made this offseason and Chelsea have changed from a team I always found boring, but effective to one that's actually fun to watch.
