This news has been out for a while, but has yet to be posted. Holly Holm will be fighting Megan Anderson at UFC 225 in June.

The fight is at 145lbs and it seems Holly is keen to get another crack at Cyborg.

It's also a good opportunity for Megan to make an immediate impact if she can upset Holly. If she does, it's surely time for Holly to call it a career.

Here's also an instagram vid of Holly looking in phenomenal shape. She doesn't wear much when she trains, does she?

Holly indeed has a great bod which she is not shy about showing off. I wonder why she keeps fighting at 145 despite being listed as the top 135 contender. Is this her doing or is the UFC refusing to let her have a shot at the bantamweight title? She put in a respectable performance against Cyborg. I think she could beat Amanda.

I have a feeling the UFC is probably pushing her towards the 145 level. There seems to be somewhat what of a shortage of names in the 135 class. So from a marketing angle it makes a great deal of sense to have Holly At 145.

I think you mean a shortage in the 145 class, which is basically Cyborg and no one else, at least no one else on a permanent basis. I understand the UFC is going to run an Ultimate Fighter season to put some more ladies in the 145 division, which is what they should have done to begin with. And Cyborg is not even a real featherweight, more a lightweight or even welterweight.

She boxed mostly between "super lightweight" (126 to 132-ish pounds) and "super welterweight" (141 to 152-ish pounds).

As she's 5'8" and turns 37 in October, cutting to 145 might be less of a hassle.

Plus, Cyborg will never make 135.

The smokin' hot Preacher's daughter brought a brand new A-game to her match with Megan Anderson and it included high level wrestling. I just loved Holly's sexy violence. Dare we hope she'll do sessions after she retires from MMA? But meantime she wants to reclaim the bantamweight title now held by Amanda Nunes. That should be a good fight too.

It was indeed a great performance from Holly. It's a shame I didn't post up any pre-fight thoughts/predictions as I meant to last week as I was actually predicting Holly would implement her strong clinch game and maybe look to take the fight to the ground.

We first started to see Holly's impressive clinch in the Shevchenko fight. That was about the only area of the fight she had any success and if she'd used it more, she could've made it more competitive IMO. Then again in the de Randamie and Cyborg fights she was having much more success in the clinch than she was at distance. Her striking hasn't evolved and has become predictable and open to counters.

This is a positive evolution of Holly Holm. She's one of the strongest women in the UFC and has been training her grappling for years now, so she might as well use it and be confident with it as she has the basic physicality and strong cardio to make it work.

When I posted that Instagram vid back in April, I thought Holly was looking bigger and more muscular than ever before. It's definitely the way to go in a potential fight with Nunes. Zingano's style is the blueprint to beating Nunes. Very few female fighters have that aggressive, in your face, smothering, mauling Nurmagomedov/Covington style of fighting that will drain Nunes's gas tank.

Holly's clinch is really good, only problem is, she doesn't do a damn thing when she has her opponent pinned up against the cage. She just seems content to smear her opponent against the fence in the hope that they will gas out.

Holly did that against Shevenko, Germine and Cyborg.

It doesn't do anything for her and leads to boring fights.

Control is one thing but she needs to add offensive attacks in her clinch.

We're talking dirty boxing 101, knees, elbows, foot stomps, shoulder rams, etc.

I share your opinion, but under UFC scoring if you're the one holding your opponent against the cage, you're winning the round. Judges are very reluctant to give "sensible" 10-10 rounds.

Jackson's gym knows every trick in the book for exploiting the rules and swaying the judges.

Officially, Holly very nearly beat de Randamie and the Cyborg fight was 47-48 on most cards IIRC. IMO Cyborg won every round but if Holly had got a takedown in the 5th she could very well have picked up the win.
