Default Thoughts on Kortney Olson; fetish wrestling left behind

Im not particularly interested in Kortney Olson and never have been a fan (For no real reason other than I would just rather watch other womens videos than hers). But the past few years, shes come up in conversation quite a bit which led me to investigate her current endeavors from time to time. Shes alway been in fitness including crossfit, bodybuilding, and powerlifting. Shes got some charity work, some women empowerment groups, and clothing lines. You google her and every search is about her crushing melons and setting a standard for women to be comfortable with strength and potential. She living the fitness dream.

But I remember a time you google search KO Girl or Kortney Olson and headscissors related links pop up 9/10 times. I just think its fascinating that she was able to leave that life behind with little trail to her fetish life, unless you actually type in the correct keywords. Its not like an athlete or major celebrity who was in a scandal once and it was a hot topic until the next scandal....fetish was her career at a time and thats what she was known for.

The scenario that made me ask this question: Ive been involved in fitness for a very long time. Collegiate athlete, head fitness coach, still a competitive powerlifter. Through all of these, I have befriended some very strong, fit and attractive females. As far as I know, none of them know about the fetish wrestling world or at least dont have any interest in it. So a few years back, one day in the gym a few girls were gathered around a cell phone watching a video. I didnt know what it was but I heard them chattering about "how strong her legs are and they look huge." Nothing special since most fit women are always in awe of another fit chick. But to my surprise I hear "shes squeezing so hard. god her legs are dangerous." This immediately peaked my curiosity and i had to see what they were watching. No way it could be headscissors. When I asked what they were watching they said "this chick Kortney Olson. She crushing a watermelon." I knew it was too good to be true but these chicks had to know what KOs occupation was. Well fast forward a few years and Olson is viral for crushing watermelons, not necks or ribs. Alot of my friends and acquaintances follow her on social media, frequently speak of her physique, and those damn watermelons but are in the dark about her past.

Now im not saying she has to live in the past, so dont think im hating on her. My reason for this post is to ask if anyone else has thoughts on the subject? And she was the best example I could think of. are there any others that are still in the publics eye but has shed their fetish past?

I don't think that it's she's left fetish wrestling behind. She still loves it. It's more that she has to keep it mum because there are people who would use that to threaten her new endeavors. That's definitely happened. I've know other 'former' session wrestlers who have struggled with the same issue. It's not much different than what all of us struggle with. We love to do this but there's always people out there who threaten to make this a scarlet letter. Someday that will change.

She has done an amazing job in spreading scissoring in the lifting community. It's still rare, of course, but there still alot of videos out there. Videos that most certainly wouldn't be there without Kortney, like my favorite one with a spanish TV-show where alot of people (some really strong guys) have squeezed a watermelon between their legs, and then this fitness chick comes in and does it in one second, beating the guys. I just can't find it now, though. The video is all in spanish and I've forgot the girls name.

Other than that, I have some negative feeling towards her for some things, but that's not for this thread I suppose.

O really? Like i said, I dont really keep up with her enough to know but from what I looked for recently, I didnt see any updates. Is she still filming videos or doing private/closed sessions and events?

If shes keeping it on the hush hush, I can definitely understand that. I just thought it was funny that all of these women I know that pretty much worship her dont know that alot of us would worship her but for different reasons. When my gf showed me a viral video of her, I showed her a video of how I know her. Lets just say she was a little more than shocked and avoided conversations about her with girls after that lol

Well, crushing watermelons isnt what I would consider spreading scissor love in the fitness community, unless she talks about how its related to what her previous occupation was. Many of my friends have done the watermelon challenge but most have never discussed or even heard of headscissors, even though they got the watermelon challenge from KO.

My thing was did she abandon the human to human fetish scene...which some said shes still in it

Well, OK. I misread your post.

I _think_ it started with this: [Only Registered Users Can See LinksClick Here To Register]

She wanted to get popular in the fitness community, get her business going, making $$$ et cetera ... and well, it's easier to do that if you're NOT connected to what people call "a pornographic past". It would be harder to appear/stand out as a good role model for young girls if you're a "porn star" online. Obviously the thing you're talking about has nothing to do with real porno, but what is actually true is of less importance in reality: the important thing is what people think.

Veronica Vicious didn't try for a public, viral career after leaving this scene, and yet she still made an effort to remove all her mixed wrestling clips from the web.

Whether you like it or not ... our thing is not completely uncontroversial, even if, in reality, it's actually about empowering and worshipping women's physical strength.

Thanks for the article. I dont know if the journalist turned the words this way but i knew she had drug problems...but damn what does that have to do with fetish stuff? I dont know her life, but they just had to connect porn/drugs/fetish together.

Is this question fundamentally about how do people not get slammed by their past? I think to some degree, Kortney has been lucky. She's also very cool and obviously into fitness, so it's not fake what she does in any way.

Several professional body builders have been session wrestlers and a few MMA fighters. I don't think the stigma is all that much. I'm happy for her that she moved on, though I miss her. She was a really fun session. She laughed really easily and was just fun to spend time with. Not a clock watcher either.

I guess I made a pretty long post because I had a lot of thoughts running through my head. But the main point was just an observation that she got recognized by a bunch of my peers for something (crushing watermelons) that is closely related to my greatest fetish. Its just kind of funny to me.

I know there are wwe divas that have background in porn, bodybuilders that do fetish stuff on the side, and models that are in the fetish industry too. Its pretty ironic that KO could so something so closely related to headscissors if you type the right keywords, but none of my friends seemed to find anything.

Will always have a thing for KO and would jump at the chance to wrestle her again whatever she asked for the privilege. She had one of the best all-time personalities for a girl who did sessions, that's the thing that really sticks with you, more than the memory of what her body was like that day. Just a cool girl. She has a great life story, that holds whether or not you include her 'fetish work' (which is so tame I'd really like to slap anyone who ever wrote it up) in it.
About her moving on from the stuff she did years ago, I think it's just that she's been able to put more recent stuff into google etc, which is what it tries to prioritize. Some of the old clips obviously are still there, but as you said you'd have to be looking for them to not be presented with her GRRRL stuff and the like. The whole thing is a bit unusual because it's rare for someone like her not to have used an alias. There have been occasions over the years of ladies requesting that producers remove their videos from their archives (something KO hasn't done interestingly enough). I've heard a certain European bodybuilder recently has gotten grief in her attempt to move up the administrative side of the sport for the fact she did sessions a few years ago, hypocrisy I could rant on for quite a bit. To my knowledge a certain highly ranked boxer wasn't affected at all by her sessions. The whole thing is very hit or miss.

Does she have her story written someplace or can you share? (I'll understand if you can't). I don't know anything about her history but she was very cool in person. In the videos she put on a bit of a mean persona but she wasn't like that at all. She was all about having fun.

I'm curious who the boxer who used to do sessions was? Again, I totally understand if you'd rather not say.

I have a couple session videos I've shot with Kortney - buried somewhere in my computer. I've thought about sharing them but I also wouldn't want to hurt her image. Sessioning with her was so fun. Contrary to the rumors of her crushing thighs, her body scissors wsan't all that hard. Even so, I'd have seen her a dozen times if I lived in her neck of the woods.
