Beach Wrestling in the Surf

VeVe and Hanz wrestling competitively at the beach, in the surf, on an early morning this week. It's sometimes a bit of water torture, but it is an invigorating challenge. Hoping to do this again with others later this season. @[Only Registered Users Can See LinksClick Here To Register]

Now, THAT looks like fun! Given how much I love the beach and the surf, I don't know why I never thought of it myself. I've got to see if I can get a certain friend of mine to try it before summer's over.

Go for it! It's very fun to do on the surf with the water splashing. But the sand can get scratchy when you're trying to escape from the bottom.

This was really really fun I gotta say! Exhausting and brutal too. At first I was afraid I'd get cold but the constant struggle takes care of that. There's a real sense of urgency to get on top so you aren't at the mercy of the waves. I'd say that made me work harder and motivated me more to push harder than a match on mats. The sand does get everywhere and it can get scratchy. You almost have enhanced gripping on your opponent making much harder to slip our of holds. It's brutal in many ways but I'd do it again in a second. So fun and such a workout!
