Standing wristlocks
One of my absolute favourite holds, often overlooked in favour of armbars. I prefer it as in these pics, where the woman is using both hands to control the opponent's wrist, rather than one hand/arm used to put pressure on the elbow (although I like those too!). I also prefer it, as here, when the opponent is still standing. The pic from Competitive Enterprises with Anna (2nd row, 3rd pic) really sums up what these pics are all about. There's a fantastic video of her called TurningPro which has her doing this hold on the same opponent but topless - one of my most played clips!! The pic of Hollywood (2nd row, 1st pic) is one of my faves too - because of the cleavage, an essential part of the best pics for me! And I absolutely adore the 4th pic in the top row, which is of an English beauty queen called Carolyn Seaward. She was one of the Bond girls in Octopussy. She was the model in a fantastic book of self defence (lots of judo - my favourite) published in the 80s by Paul Redgrave (I think), and I only wish there were more pics of her, ideally in a bikini. Oh well, got to have something to imagine I guess.

In fact Competitive Enterprises have just posted a still photo of Anna doing this hold topless...and here it is! It doesn't get much better than this for me!
