You are the only people in this thread that say they've been knocked out in a smother. Of course it's possible as it is by drowning. The problem is that it is not quick.

This is not a blood choke in which the brain shuts down in seconds like in a syncope, but keeps getting enough blood to remain alive. Good point. If a guy is in the match who is 'societally challenged' (i.e., incapable of going as hard as he could against a woman because it is frowned upon by decent people) he might get caught in a sensuous, yet potentially lethal hold.

Thing is, as Mixed says, it's not quick and when the guy finds himself suffocating to death, he'll stop worrying about the taboo against hurting a woman and start battling a lot harder.

Whether she can maintain her death lock depends on the gal, I guess.....her wrestling ability and her attitude about finishing the job.
