Default Mutiny's Accent

I have seen comments from various sources praising "the sexy French Accent" that Mutiny has in her videos. Well, I've got a couple of her videos and she just sounds American to me ( yes I am aware that she is in fact Canadian ). Before anybody shoots me down, I am aware that there are many regional accents in America---I'm talking about the generic American type accent that she uses. Any comments from anyone ?

She has a sexy accent to me and sorry it doesn't sound American to me, not southern or NY or anything like that. I really like her, she seems to enjoy what she does, is always smiling and is enjoyable to watch

I totally agree---she is definitely one of my favourite performers and has been for a long time. The accent thing was just a side issue and I wondered what other forum members thought.

I think you may not know what an American accent sounds like

Y’all don’t sound French Canadian...

She's from the French part of Canada no? French would have been her first language and (unless I'm wrong) she didn't learn English until she was already an adult? Whoever taught her would also have influenced her tone and dialect so it all adds together to make something unique and quite alluring I think.

I love her accent and especially when she is counting pins (which sadly isn't that often). I enjoy watching her.

She told me that she barely spoke English when she started doing sessions. She's smart and she learned quickly though.

I think what's confusing you is you're expecting a French accent which is different than a French Canadian accent. The language and dialect is more influenced by Quebec's surrounding neighbors of English speaking Canadians and Americans, so the sounds are closer to North American English and thus when they speak in English, it's much closer to North American English than a person from France would be.

Mutiny is from Terrebonne — a predominantly French part of Quebec...

French in Quebec is essentially a slang version of French. Much more guttural because the folks who settled in Canada were trappers and the like.
