Given that D'Andrea is a bit over the top, you must provide some details.

As for a current wrestler you can meet, I'll cast a vote for Ina Black.
Helen was crazy good after she bulked up and learned Ju Jitsu a bit. When I first wrestled her it was straight wrestling and she beat me. She was thinner then, about 145 lbs and amazing. My next match with her she was up to about 165 and it was just silly one-sided. She was very good.

I'd have loved to see a ju jitsu match between Helen and Malory Sin. Malory challenged Helen to a match with striking, Helen wisely declined. Straight grappling, that would have been a very interesting match. I don't know who would have won.

Nothing against the top ladies today Veve or Ariel or (others, I may have overlooked), Helen and Malory had more size and muscle mass and I think size matters. A 145-150 lb (or in Helen's case, 165-170) lb ju jitsu expert has an advantage over a 125 ju jitsu expert.

I did a wrestling session with Debra two years ago.
The wrestling was light up until she cought my head in a scissor and forced me the submission
I was extremely excite, and I got an amazing adrenaline kick. Her grip and applying more and more pressure around my head.
I was not able to withstand her powerful scissor for a long time, I had to submit.
After the first fall she forced me into four more submissions, but she was too strong for me.
It was an amazing session, and she looked better than in her pictures.

Did Helen tell you that's what she weighed? I know she bulked up over her career but afaik she didn't get quite that big. I think she may have been around 155 pounds when we met and I was under the impression that was at the height of her destructive abilities.
The thing is, something like BJJ changes over time, so comparing athletes across something like 15 years doesn't quite work the way you think it should. I also don't think I agree that a heavier player necessarily owns the advantage in a skill-based fight, as a marker for were you stand in your training is being able to show that you can deal with 'physically superior' opponents. If somehow Helen were to appear in a flash and comment on this it would be awesome, she was always notably eloquent when discussing stuff like this back then.
Anyway, this is all to the point of saying that I think we vets underrate ladies in the scene today. Ariel is extraordinarily good, ditto for Venom, Mystique (Cdn) and others. That being said it's very easy for even the average person to tell when (s)he's in the presence of a higher class of something, be it stereo speakers, $8 craft beers, cars, Neapolitan pizzas, LeBron James… When you met Helen you absolutely knew she was likely the best opponent you had ever wrestled.

You could be right about her weight, she may have just seemed bigger than she was.

I've wrestled Venom, and I love love love her, but I felt that I was about equal to her in strength strength, just lacking in her skill. Against Helen I felt like I was her toy and I was younger and in better shape when I wrestled Helen. Now, maybe, cause I was in my 40s at the time, Venom took it easy on me but it seemed that Helen was stronger. I can't comment on skill, but she seemed stronger. Now, I agree with you that comparisons are imperfect, so take my words with a grain of salt. I wrestled Shannon too - incredibly good technical wrestler. I got Shannon to tap once. I never came close with Helen once she was in her prime. I did get a tap out of Helen before she took Jujitsu though, but she got like 6 taps out of me. She was a phenomenal natural athlete even before she started training. She could do a full split.

Now, I will say this, a savvy session wrestler will play down to a guy's strength and let him feel like he's got a chance, so maybe Venom was just toying with me - certainly possible.

I haven't had many sessions, but easily the most competitive and skilled I've gone against was Syd Blakovich. She dominated me from start to finish, and very much enjoyed doing so.

A friend of mine who is a veteran of the session scene going back to the late 1970s told me that some of the best competitive session gals were Tantala,Ruby and Betty Bird. All three were based in L.A. with Betty Bird also being a porn actress. One of the worst he said was Deena Zarra.

Helen looked even heavier than 165 lbs in 2010 or 2011

Helen was extremely good about dancing up to the line bordering overwhelming and unfair. I did feel like I was being toyed with but in a different way than with others, I knew I had no shot of giving her something she wasn't always prepared to counter but she also wasn't tapping me out every 8 seconds like I have 0 doubt she could have. Venom was similar though with a lighter attitude, just not to the same degree (I was allowed to struggle more), VeVe slightly behind her. Could the latter 2 have stepped it up even more? I guess, but if you ask for that (as I do) you have to take what they give you at face value. Helen, obviously, was on another level from even them.

FWIW, a snippet of my 2nd match with Helen ( not too long after she got her purple belt ). About an hour into the match, I caught her from side control and got her to tap out. The next fall, she paid me back by plowing me under in about 30 seconds. And that was the only submission I got the rest of the session.

So yeah, there is probably an intensity dial at work there.
