Post "Women Wrestling" magazine

Hi, Forum,

I'm looking for copies or scans of "Women Wrestling" that was published in UK in the 70s. This was before the Swish magazines, I believe.

Attaching some covers:

Edit: found more info, and a scan of the first issue (shared in post 4). These were published by Beaumark Publications, and distributed by Moore Harness Ltd. There were 11 issues total, published from May, 1976, to 1977. Aggressive Women (1978-1980) and Amazons in Action (1981-200?) by Swish Publications are direct successors of Women Wrestling.

The old Swish Publications shop in Greek Street had a few of these late 70s/early 80s magazines back in the 1990s- I wonder if any readers can help (sadly I can't on this occasion).

I hope someone comes up with something. It was seeing the cover of this magazine in a shop in London which first started my passion for women's and mixed wrestling.

Good news, Forum!

Just got the scan of the first issue. This is Vol 1 No1, issued on May, 1976. Includes a lot of text about pro-wrestling, boxing, as well as photos, but also apartment wrestling. There's an article about Linda Schultz on page 24, and with Angela (Mack?) on p 26.

Now I know we have had many issues of AIA (Amazons in Action) articles printed and would like to see full issues as this I thought fit my interests. Will comment in more detail as excitedly looking forward to reading.

Great! I lost my magazine collection (WW, Amazons in Action, Claws, local Sports Review Wrestling, other American publications) years ago. One thing that stands out in my memory about WW or maybe AUA was an ad for an English company with a photo of a mixed match. Guy was behind an attractive blone and had the upper hand. I rmemeber thinking I will definitely get that film but never did.

Zweig, I have virtually the entire collection of Women Wrestling, Aggressive Women and AIA stuck in a box in a cupboard and they have not been looked at in years.

Beaumark Publications and Swish Publications were basically part of the same group. Their main offices were at 45 and 47 Great Guilford Street, London, SE1, and of course Swish had the shop in Greek Street

Ian, this is awesome! We need to find a way to digitize them.
