The point is that Beatrice--unlike such other true pioneers as Sylvie Maret, Denise Picavet, Christine Nordhagen and later Trish Sanders, whose names are almost never seen on here, "went to the bad," so to speak.
My own belief, though of course not sure of it, is that unlike these others, Beatrice decided she should make some money by wrestling. Her dream came true, in a way; but NOT in the way she thought.

A portion of the size of the fetish wrestling market then, that would be familiar with Beatrice's name through companies such as Festlle, DWW and the US companies that featured Beatrice. If you include all of the people involved in early European female freestyle-wrestling scene, that number could even be higher. Rough estimation, yes, but I'm closer to truth than a few hundred that you estimated.

Yes, I did meet her and her husband back in 1980s, but never real friends.
I wouldn't have sent you over to wrestlewiki to educate yourself if I knew that you met her personally back in the day. I take it back. However, in my defense, you do sound like somebody who does not know or appreciate Beatrice.

I think I've expressed my opinion of her and her husband.
In general, I don't criticize vidbiz girls for doing what they do. I feel differently about amateur wrestlers who go to the bad, as Beatrice did.
Leia Kawaii is another such, and her treatment of Jim Garrett was deplorable. It made me pretty disgusted with the whole scene.
Being a wrestling fan shouldn't mean that one has to hang out with such morally reprehensible individuals.

What do you mean "go bad"? I'd say "go good". I appreciate the fact that such women as Beatrice Goffin, Tigra, Raquel, Fuchsia have been and are a part of our small world.

Who is Jim Garrett and what did Tigra do to him?

By my definition, leaving the world of real amateur wrestling, for the phony world of the vidbiz, is going to the bad. (I'm not saying all the girls are bad though).

Jim Garrett--long story. Murdered his mother; end of his vidbiz, headquartered in the Quonset hut.
All the people he had supported financially, not just Leia, were happy to take his money; but they ran away from him like cockroaches after he went out of business. I found it all rather sad.

I myself have had no negative experiences. For the record, I will say I'm surprised she seems to have so many fans, since she's not particularly attractive nor is she a great wrestler. She achieved some success simply because there were so few female wrestlers back in the 1980s.

My feelings about her are based on her actions in deserting amateur wrestling, in which she was a pioneer, for the vidbiz; I think I have explained this.
She has surely been punished enough by the legal system, and as far as I'm concerned I have nothing more to add.

Case in point.
Making nude wrestling videos is NOT the way to make women's wrestling mainstream.
I have nothing against it. but....

How do reckon up her disposition?
Did you challenge the championesse on her mats?
Did she clobber you? If she did, you are not an exception. Did she use her whips?
Poor Boy.
