Default Do we need a separate subforum for session talk?

Good day, Forum!

Do you think we need a separate subforum for session talk?

This subforum would be dedicated to private session reviews and include review requests. Some big threads in the main Discussion subforum such as [Only Registered Users Can See LinksClick Here To Register] and other relevant topics and polls, including all session reviews of course will be moved to the new subforum in order to make it easy for those members who are specifically interested in sessions to communicate and find information. This has been mentioned in the past and I think it is a fair question, since in my experience some of the session folk are interested in specifically that, and not so much in other topics. On the other hand this type of separation of interests into different subforums is not always a good idea, since it will decrease total participation in the main discussions subforum. Just to be clear, we are talking about a separate subforum, such as Session Announcements or Pioneers' Corner.

So, please take a moment to vote in the poll above. The poll will close at the end of this month. If the poll results are 60%+ in favor of a new subforum, I will do it.

Peace!

It could be useful, but it would take some work to move all the relevant threads over. Right now the best way to find information is probably to google <name> session [review] malevsfemale.

True. However, here's a better way of searching the forum with Google:

Here's how you search the forum with Google. Go to google and type in the following:
site:malevsfemale.org your term here
If you want to search for exact phrases, here's how to do it:
site:malevsfemale.org "your exact phrase here"

(Honest) Session reviews are a valuable feature of this site. To have them all in one place would not only make them easier to find, but it would encourage people to write them.

In my opinion a separate subforum is nonsense.
Even if there are all session reviews in one separate subforum you’ll have to use the search function or google to find a special one. Furthermore most of the threads starting with a session review drift off to other subjects.
For me, I read or write most of the time in the Wrestling & Fighting Discussion subforum only.
I probably would miss most of the session reviews and would not add my experience.

Edit: I nearly missed this thread too.

It's interesting that most of those who voted for a separate subforum do not generally write reviews or engage in session talk.

I would appreciate if the votes left a comment as to why they voted for either option.

Please also let me know if you think such topics as the following should be moved to the new section, or would you rather only see session reviews moved:
- [Only Registered Users Can See LinksClick Here To Register]
- [Only Registered Users Can See LinksClick Here To Register]
- [Only Registered Users Can See LinksClick Here To Register]
- [Only Registered Users Can See LinksClick Here To Register]
- [Only Registered Users Can See LinksClick Here To Register]
- [Only Registered Users Can See LinksClick Here To Register]
- [Only Registered Users Can See LinksClick Here To Register]
- [Only Registered Users Can See LinksClick Here To Register]
- [Only Registered Users Can See LinksClick Here To Register]
- [Only Registered Users Can See LinksClick Here To Register]

I'm asking because the session-talk is strongly intertwined with many of the conversations that take place in the main Discussion subforum. Any insight on how you think we should reorganize the Discussion subforum is appreciated.

I'm up for a subsection for session reviews. Makes everything a lot more organized and neat. I think it'd be a lot more convenient to go to a subsection about session reviews and such, rather than the regular discussion section. Also saves a lot of the trouble of having to use the search function and what not.

That said, i'd rather see reviews moved. Or rather, a section specifically about reviews and review requests only. Not necessarily session talk. "ko in a session" for example, i'd rather in the regular discussion forum.

But threads regarding session reviews, is what i'd prefer be put in a section.

Zweig , I think all relevant topics which you mentioned above should be gathered in the same section,it will be much easier to find them.
