Xana and Antcha, now I'm impressed. They are both on the top of my wish list.

Default Re: Has anyone lost to a much smaller opponent?

I had 2 matches with both women being much smaller than me in both height and weight. I'm 5'9" & 185lbs. The rules were simple: we wrestle for an hour, most pins wins. (neither woman wanted to do submissions)
First match was against a 5'5" 105lbs twenty-something named Sabine. She really wasn't strong and I could nearly pick her up with one arm, but she was fast and wirey. At the end of the hour, I won 2 pins to her 1. That was semi-comp and we were both trying to win.
The second time was against a 5'2" 115lbs somewhat muscular 25 yr old named Anastasia. Again, it was 1 hour time limit and most pins win. Anastasia had done some weight training and you could see it in her arms, shoulders, legs and she had great abs. She wasn't wirey, but she was pretty strong for her size and I found myself flat on my back with her sitting on my chest more than a few times. At the end of the hour, it was 9 pins for me and 7 for her. Again, a close match considering had 70-80 pounds on both of these young ladies.
Since these two, I don't take opponent size for granted.

I lost to Veve Lane. She even did match with no jiu-jitsu holds, just scissors and still she was able to win.

I'm embarassed to say I've lost to several small girls, including Fuchsia, by convincing pin (5 count or more). But I'm well over 60; that's my excuse anyway.

I've seen a few vids of Veve, & I think even Bane would have a hard time with her. She's another one of those fast, agile wrestlers who just wears you down by constantly coming at you.

Back in the days when I was going at it with Lady Victoria (5'2", 140lbs) my alibi was always "Well atleast I lost to a pro wrestler!"....LOL.

Lost to a gal named Ève in Montréal quite a few years ago. She was a little bodybuilder about 5-4 120 (at the most) and one of my first attempts. Strong...out of this world. I did win over a ChelseaClark from S CA. (also a lot of years ago). Mostly though I play the 'game'!
