Here is my take, admittedly based mostly on logic and less on experience:

1. Side/throat headscissor (We don't talk about this much, but this literally crushes your throat in a second and I would imagine it's basically impossible to do much about
You have a free arm (or possibly 2) that can enable you to get free or at least protect your breathing if you do not panic.

In theory yes, but when my wife does that to me, just the weight of her thigh alone is almost enough to choke me assuming her leg is under my chin. I can't imagine what a very strong woman crushing down as hard as she could would feel like. I feel like it would be immediately incapacitating

my wife uses that one alot, and she tries to couple it with an armbar which makes it more painful and harder to get out of

I've been caught in rnc before many times and managed to struggle before tapping but lotus lock I was incapacitated with immediate effect feeling that struggling would result in a shoulder injury.
I'm going with lotus lock.

If we are talking about opponents that are fairly skilled and flexible, as a general immobilization technique (hardest to get out of), scarf hold, aka kesa gatame, Judoka's bread and butter, is probably the most effective pin, although it is not a complete pin, since one shoulder blade can be lifted. Grapevine pin is also good, but difficult to maintain on a fresh opponent. Schoolgirl pin with wrists pinned can be applied later once exhaustion sets in.

In regards to submissions, holds like lotus lock, boston crab, twister and spladle hold are hard to achieve, but once it gets there, they are extremely hard to escape. That being said, some flexible people can withstand the pain of a spladle or a lotus lock. RNC and triangle are also up there, slightly less effective imo, but much easier to achieve, thus more common in real competition. From the scissor holds I'd say side or reverse-side headscissors is the most effective, usually resulting in a quick tap, due to its crushing+choking effect combination.

Yep, said the same thing. Not much you can do there.

How would you rank the following holds in order of "Hardest" to "Easiest" to get out of?

1. Front headscissor
2. Rear headscissor
3. Side headscissor
4. Reverse headscissor
5. Bodyscissor
6. Rear naked choke
7. Rear Figure-4
8. Front Figure-4
9. Grapevine pin
10. Straddle pin (wrists pinned)
11. Lotus Lock

As someone without much grappling training or knowledge, I don't think I've ever been successful in breaking one of those holds from a session wrestler. I find some easier to avoid than others, like I can usually see a head scissors or figure 4 coming.

RNC and lotus locks are instant taps for me and I don't try to survive a headscissors either. Straddle pins are probably the easiest to try to struggle out of because you can struggle without the girl being able to immediately increase the pain.

For me (personally) all the holds listed are very hard to get out of. Maybe bodyscissor will be the "easy" to get out of.

Similar to a previous poster, I have wrestling training g from high school, but I’ve forgotten some of my skills. I haven’t been put all of the listed holds, but the ones I have been placed on I have found to be inescapable. Never got out one single time against Session wrestlers.
