Re: Lesser recognised Pioneers
Yes Zweig, I expect that would have been a good match. Both of them were experienced wrestlers. Unfortunately all I have are those photos so I do not know the result.
Here are some more photos. This time Bonnie vs Allison. More than 10 but given the producer is long gone and no video available I trust that does not break the rules. Stymie, you are so right about that. Bonnie vs Jan pics; |

Re: Lesser recognised Pioneers
I don't think anyone spoke very highly of Dr Ron, but in the very early days (before Judell) it was basically Cal Supreme or nothing.
Pics of Bonnie vs Judy Fioria follow. |

Re: Lesser recognised Pioneers
I received many of the "Grapevines" from NEWAWA/Jo and Jeff Bray back then (mid-/latter 70's) and there were references to one Kathy Trevena. I'm fairly certain she was from the land of Angela Mack (Britain, of course) but------I never saw any photos or heard of any tapes/photo-sets/etc. involving her. And I've tried search engines. So, I throw this to others on the site. +++======>J|/\/\ |

Re: Lesser recognised Pioneers
Absolutely classic, outstanding material. Many thanks to Ian.
Bonnie was a trooper. Those gals beating here are some tough senoritas. I would note that the one picture set showing Bonnie winning is actually against Diana Davis rather than Allison Ames. Diana was one of my favorites. Her size (about 5'5 but light, maybe 115) kept her from compiling much of a won-loss record, but she gave it her all. You can see that as she's close to submitting to Bonnie's scissors in the third row and Nelson in the sixth. Diana actually wrestled Allison (I think I still have that on a videotape) for Joan Wise and lost. Allison vs Bonnie likely would have been a great match. |

Re: Lesser recognised Pioneers
Looks like Bonnie was a cute, curvey bundle of fun. Wish I could have taken her on. What fun it would have been.
