Default Girl Boxers - 1

This the beginning of a series of stories about the girls on a boys boxing team. I hope I'm able to list them in sequence.

Three girls decided they wanted to try out for the boxing team at Hanson High School. Since the school did not offer boxing to girls, the school board debated whether the girls should be allowed to try out for the boys' team. Although there was the usual discussion about girls competing against boys and if they would get hurt, the two women on the school board argued that the girls would be fighting boys their own size, and they would be more than able to compete.

The school board reluctantly agreed. The three girls, Maxine, Ashley and Jill were going to try out for the 110, 122 and 132 pound spots on the team. All three girls were athletic, and members of the gymnastics and soccer teams, however they knew they needed to learn about boxing. They took boxing lessons at the local YMCA for three weeks before the tryouts were held.

The news of the girls competing for spots on the boys team was the buzz of the school for three weeks. All the boys were making snide comments about the girls are going to get killed in the ring. And that they had no business trying to fight with boys. Many girls also said that the girls were stupid for putting themselves in a position where they were likely to get hurt. But then there was a group of girls who approved of the trio of female fighters showing the boys that girls were not the weaker sex.

The day of the tryouts was at hand and the gymnasium was packed with spectators wanting to see the so-called battle of the sexes. Boys were carrying signs about how the girls were going to get beat bad. Girls were carrying signs about "Girl Power" and "Girls Rule."

The tryouts were to be three round fights refereed and scored by the coach. The winner by points or a knock out would win the spot on the team.

The first bout pitted 110-pound Phillip against Jill.

At the bell Phil was sent into the center of the ring with a round of cheers from his teammates "Go get her," and "give her a beating."

He opened up his offense quickly - with jabs and crosses that caught Jill on the head and face. One right cross slammed her cheek and she went down to one knee. The coach stepped in and gave Jill a standing 8-count. The boys of the team and in the stands all nodded in approval that this knockdown within the first 20-seconds was proof that the girls had no business trying to box the boys. However everyone was surprised when Jill got to her feet and said she wanted to continue.

The first round continued with Phil landing punches on the girl, but he was not able to knock her down again. He won the first round on points.

The second round was the same as the first, with Phil jabbing and punching the girl, who was able to take his hits but was not able to mount any offense of her own.

Phil won the second round too.

Jill realized that she lost both rounds and needed a knockout if she was to win a spot on the team. She admitted that she was too tentative and she decided that she would come out in Round Three throwing as many punches as she could. She figured even if she was knocked out at least she would get in a few good licks.

At the bell, Jill flew to the center of the ring and caught Phil with a jab and right cross that wobbled him. These were the first punches the girl connected in the entire fight and Phil was surprised by their power. He kept himself from stumbling by clinging to the ropes -- but his position enabled Jill to move in and begin throwing punches into his body. The boys on the sideline saw that Phil was in trouble and they shouted for him to get off the ropes.

The girls were shrieking with each punch that Jill landed seeing that her offense was beginning to take a toll on the boy.

Phil mustered up his last reserve and pushed Jill off of him and into the center of the ring. He was angry and embarrassed that the girl hurt him and had taken him into the third round. He began throwing punches from all angles. Without regard for any defense the boy and the girl were going toe to toe in the middle of the ring punching and raising welts on each other's bodies. The crowd was in a frenzy at the glove leather that was being thrown by both the girl and the boy. Who would give out first???

At the bell, ending the third round, Phil had a black eye and puffed lip and nose. Jill also had a black eye and bruises on her cheek. The coach gave the round to Jill - but it was not enough - and she lost the bout two rounds to one. Phil retained his position on the team.

However the boys who all bragged that the girls were going to get a beating took one look at Phil and saw that his body showed he was in a heck of a fight.

They also looked across the ring at Jill, and she too looked battered and bruised, but the boys were surprised she didn't wilt and give in under Phil's offensive barrage.

But none-the-less the boys team was still all boys as Phil won the first mixed-gender bout.

The next bout was Maxine against Marco in the 122-pound division.

All week long Marco had been bragging about how he was going to demolish the girl that stepped into the ring with him. He flexed his muscles and boasted that no girl would be able to stand up to his power.
Maxine recognized that Jill made the mistake of being too tentative at the beginning of the fight and she promised herself that she would not make that mistake.

At the bell both Maxine and Marco flew into the center of the ring throwing punches. Maxine caught Marco with a jab to his forehead and a right cross to his cheek.
Marco, who was surprised by the girl's attack, returned fire with a jab and cross of his own. Both connected - and he smiled thinking they should be enough to take the fight out of his female opponent. But when Maxine countered with a body punch and jab to Marco's forehead - it was her time to smile.

"Didn't think I would be able to take a punch," she asked Marco, who looked surprised that the girl was still standing.

Maxine followed up with a punch that caught Marco in the stomach and made him double over bringing his head down to Maxine's belt level. She delivered a hammer of a right cross that dropped the boy to the floor. The boys on the sideline were open-mouthed in disbelief after all the trash talking from Marco during the week, they never expected him to be the one knocked down.

"Where's that beating I was going to get," Maxine taunted as she threw her hands into the air and went to a neutral corner. The girls in the stands were screaming "finish him. He's ready to go."

Marco got to his feet at the count of eight. He was woozy but angry that the girl knocked him down in the first round. As Maxine moved in to launch another round of punches the bell sounded.

She felt good that she took some of the boy's punches -- they didn't hurt, and she proved she could knock him down -- winning the first round.

Marco sat in his corner waiting for the bell for Round Two anxious to get back at the girl and show everyone that the first round was a fluke and a lucky punch.

At the sound of the bell he ran into the center of the ring ready to wail on Maxine. She too ran from her corner anxious to finish what she started and not wanting the boy to regain his strength.

As Marco began to taunt that the girl got lucky in the first round, Maxine delivered a right cross that turned the boy's head. He nearly fell - but he grabbed the ropes for balance.

"I thought you'd be tougher than this," Maxine whispered as she moved in to deliver another three jabs to the boy's mid-section.

"All that trash talking this week, and look who's getting the beating," she taunted.

Marco's teammates shouted for him to get off the ropes and counter punch. But the girl wouldn't let him slide by. She kept up her offensive barrage, up and down on Marco's head and body.

The boy realized he was getting pummeled. He managed a weak smile to his teammates as if to say he's okay and still able to take the girl, but anyone watching this fight had to doubt if he had anything left.

Marco was able to deliver a jab to Maxine's head and a right cross to her shoulder. She smiled "If that's the best you can do -- you're not getting out of this round."

And with that she unleashed a flurry of punches that began to punish the boy.

"So much for your muscles," she laughed as she began a real beat down on the boy.

Punches were coming from everywhere. And Marco had to know they were coming from Maxine, because she was the only person in the ring with him. But how could that be. He still couldn't come to grips that he was getting battered by a girl. She shouldn't be able to hit that hard. And certainly she shouldn't be able to cause him the pain that he's experiencing. As Marco pondered the differences in the sexes, another punch ripped into his stomach doubling him over.

The boys on the sideline were open-mouthed watching their representative getting demolished. The girls were shrieking with encouragement with every punch that softened the once proud male frame of muscles and condescension that entered the ring five minutes ago.

Maxine, followed her gut punch with a right cross to Marco's face that spun him around. As her glove connected she felt an exhilarating flow come over her knowing that she was beating a boy, who thought he was stronger than she. As each of her punches chiseled away at his invincibility she smiled

"You're not as tough as you think you are, Marco."

Marco heard her words -- which stung as much as the punches.
How can this be happening he thought. I've beaten dozens of guys in the ring -- and even when I lost I've never gotten such a beating.
His mind was screaming for him to fight back - but the last assault by the girl - took everything out of him. His mind was demanding that his macho step it up, but the pain centers in his brain prevented his arms and legs from responding.

Maxine saw the glassy eyes of her opponent and knew it was just a matter of seconds before she would have him collapsing at her feet.
She launched into an offensive flurry that caught Marco on his chin, face, and forehead. With each punch the girls on the side shouted "He's going down, He's going down." The boys wouldn't believe it, until Maxine delivered an uppercut that sent Marco against the ropes and bouncing back into the center of the ring where he collapsed.

The referee didn't have to count. It was obvious the boy was out. Maxine threw her hands up in victory - knowing she just defeated a boy who was two years older than she -- and had been boxing for four years.

The girls in the stands all cheered knowing that they had a representative on the boxing team.

The third and final match pitted Ashley against Bill in the 132-pound division. Both were 5-foot-5 but Bill had a muscular body that was chiseled from hours in the weight room. Ashley on the other hand was shapely and had a great body built from soccer and gymnastics.

Although both were the same height, the body difference was obvious. Bill had a broad chest and arms that showed a great definition of biceps and triceps. Ashley did not have any clear definition of muscle under her feminine frame - but her legs and hips connected with a narrow waist and then a muscular back.

Bill felt that he had to make amends for the beating that his teammate, Marco, just received, so he was thinking "no mercy," as he stepped to the center of the ring to meet his female opponent. Ashley was encouraged that Maxine won her bout which gave her a confidence that the boys were not invincible and they could be beaten.

The boys in the stands were still in shock from the previous fight, watching Marco - who had been fighting for years - get taken apart by Maxine - who only had three weeks of boxing lessons. But they were sure that Bill - who was 20-and-5 over his career and never been knocked down would - have no trouble with his female opponent.

At the bell, Bill went into his usual offense of bulling his way in throwing punches. He knew he could take a punch, and felt even more confident that he could definitely take a punch from a girl - so he didn't believe he had much to worry about. Ashley was caught by surprise by the boy's attack and she was hit on the cheek that wobbled her into the ropes. Bill followed up with body shots and punches into her arms and shoulders that were making her drop her gloves.

The girls were screaming for Ashley to get off the ropes, but the boy had her pinned. She knew that her body was not able to take much more of the pounding so she dropped to one knee - figuring that the standing eight count would give her a few seconds rest and get the boy off of her.

She then told the coach she was ready to continue as she squared off in the center of the ring. Bill pressed his assault. But Ashley changed her tactics and rather than going toe-to-toe with the boy, she began to use her speed and stick and move. Her jabs and crosses were easily blocked and swatted away by Bill, but he was unable to hit her.

The first round ended -- with the score keepers giving it to the boy. Bill smiled at his female opponent across the ring waiting for the bell for Round Two. He knew it was just a matter of time before he caught her with the one punch that would put her away, as it had put away so many other fighters in his three-year career.

The Ashley's corner told her to continue to stick and move stay out of the boy's power range. She felt her body beginning to get a second wind and recover from the pounding of the first round.

At the bell Bill jumped out quickly, looking to cut off the ring and corner the girl - for another beating. However, Ashley was able to side-step and throw our a few jabs. None of them connected. But Bill continued to launch haymaker after haymaker at the girl - who was able to keep away. He was chasing her around the ring, barely connecting with one or two punches..but Ashley did not connect with anything. The scoring gave this round also to the boy.

Ashley went back to her corner wondering how she was going to win this fight. She needed a knock-out and she had yet to hit Bill with anything.

It was then her corner people told her that when ever Bill gets ready to unload a haymaker or big right cross, he drops his left hand to his belt. They said she should have a clear shot with a right cross of her own. But she would have to step in and let the boy's punch hit her shoulder so she would be close enough to connect with her own punch.

The bell sounded and Bill again wanted to end this with a knockout. Although he was winning he was upset that the girl was still standing and he felt he should have knocked her out.

He stepped in a uncorked a right cross. Ashley saw his left hand drop, and she stepped in and delivered a right cross of her own. Bill's punch hit her shoulder, but her punch hit Bill flush on the cheek, spinning his head. He wobbled and caught himself. He looked at the girl in disbelief that she was the one who delivered the blow. He again moved in to deliver a haymaker that had damage written all over it. Again Ashley stepped in -- took the punch on her shoulder and let fly with a right cross of her own. She again connected squarely on the boy's head - again Bill was wobbled, but he didn't go down.

Ashley saw the look of surprise in the boy's face. She moved in closer almost daring him to throw another right cross -- he took the bait and she countered with a punch of her own. The boys on the sideline saw Bill begin to stumble and grab the ropes. The three punches by the girl, left him glassy eyed and unsteady.

Ashley recognized that she had the boy hurt and she again stepped in close. Bill's punch into her shoulder had no pop, and it didn't hurt.

Ashley smiled "If that's all you have left stud, you're going down."

Bill couldn't believe the girl was taunting him and he angrily moved in to deliver as assault that would shut her up. But the girl was able to meet him head on this time and jabbed three times into his face and head. She followed with a haymaker of her own that had Bill coiled against the ropes.

The girls in the stands were screaming for Ashley to finish the boy -- there was one minute left in the round and she needed a knockout.
Bill tried to fend off the girl's assault, but the three rockets he took to the head at the beginning of the round left him woozy. He had to simply hang on in this round and he would win the bout two rounds to one. If he were fighting a boy, he probably would have taken a knee to give himself an eight-count to to clear his head and rest. But he was fighting a girl, and his male ego would not admit that it was a girl who would be the first to have him drop to a knee.

Bill still believed that he had enough in the tank to take out the female warrior in front of him. He pushed Ashley back into the center of the ring and began to mount an assault. However Ashley kept watching his left arm drop and when it did she delivered a right cross that left the boy unsteady.

"So girls don't belong in the ring with boys," she jeered, while throwing a continuing barrage of punches that were connecting with a devastating regularity on the boy's body and head.

It was obvious to all that the girl was winning the battle in the center of the ring but did she have enough power to knock out the boy, who was now just standing and teetering before her. Chants of "He's going down, He's going down," came from the girl's side of the gymnasium.

The boys were silent - and hoping their representative could hang on for another 20 seconds.

Ashley then delivered two jabs and three crosses that rocked Bill, who looked at the girl and managed a weak smile. He felt his legs going out from under him, and he collapsed in the center of the ring. Ashley threw her hands in the air, "Yes" she cried out. The referee stepped to begin the count. Bill only had to get to his feet and say he wanted to continue - and although he would have lost the round he would have won the fight.

His teammates were shouting "Get Up, Get Up."

Bill heard them and knew he was in a position that was very strange to him. He never was knocked down before. At the count of five he got to his knees. Six-seven-eight- and he was on one foot. As he tried to stand on the other foot before the ref hit Ten, he fell back on the canvas. The girl's assault took everything out of him. He was down.

The girls won two of the three spots on the team - both by knockouts.

The boys had to come to grips that the girls were able to compete against them. It was a question though, of how they would do against other male fighters from the other schools.

Default More Girl Boxers

Now that Hanson High had two girls on the boxing team it was time to see if the girls could compete in the league.
They won their spots by knocking out the boys who previously were on the team in the 122 and 132 pound divisions.

As the team walked into the gym, and the crowd saw two girls in the line they began cat calls and razzing about how the Hanson boxers can't be that good if girls were on the team. The guys on the team hung their heads down - not wanting to admit that the taunts could be true.

Lincoln High beat Hanson last year, winning all nine of the bouts and the hometown crowd expected the results to be the same.
The first match pitted Hanson High's Phil against Lincoln's 110-pound fighter. Phil was able to win the match by decision.

The next match which is what everyone was waiting for. Maxine was to fight Lincoln high's 122-pound boxer - Wilton. Wilton was not very good. He had only two wins in his high school career. But he was encouraged when he saw a girl climb into the ring at the opposite corner. He figured he was going to get the season off with a win. The crowd was behind Wilton and began shouting that he had a sure win, he was lucky to be fighting a girl and beat her brains in.

Maxine was a little intimidated by the raucous gym noise - but she figured she made the team by beating a boy, and Wilton was just another boy who could be beaten.

At the bell, Wilton charged from his corner. He caught Maxine with a jab and right cross that knocked her to her knees. The fight was less than ten seconds old and the girl was taking a standing eight count.

Wilton thought this is too easy. When the referee signaled to resume boxing, Wilton again charged in. Maxine kept her guard up, but she was pushed into the ropes and was beginning to take a pounding on her arms and side. Every now and then Wilton went upstairs to her head. The punches were not that hard, but the cumulative effect was beginning to take a toll.

Maxine tried to push the boy off her - but he kept up the barrage. She jabbed at his head, and she was not sure if she connected because his onslaught continued.
The bell ended the first round with Maxine battered and limping back to her corner. Wilton ran to his former and couldn't wait for the bell to begin the next round.

Maxine realized she was going to have to use some footwork to avoid the boy's head long charge. As Wilton jumped from his corner at the bell and again ran to the center of the ring, Maxine did a jiggle step, and switched to southpaw. Her right hand jab, caught Wilton on the side of the head. He was surprised by the punch. He turned to face the girl and tried to box his way in. Maxine began throwing her own punches and connected with several times with his arms, shoulders and head.

At one point the boy and girl were toe to toe in the middle of the ring throwing punches at each other - almost without regard for any defense. Maxine felt she got the better of the boy in the round - as she wasn't hurt and he looked like he had some welts on his face and torso.

However the judges gave the round to Wilton. It was a three round match, and Maxine lost the first two. The only way she could win was by a knockout. Wilton was encouraged that he was way ahead on points and figured he was on his way to and easy victory.

During the break, the coach told Maxine that every time she hit Wilton in the left shoulder his hand would drop below his belt. He said if she doubled up on a right cross...to the shoulder and then the head she had a chance to rock the boy.

At the bell, Wilton again flew to the center of the ring. Maxine wanted to try the strategy. She jabbed the boy's left shoulder and sure enough his hands dropped. However while she was watching his left shoulder and preparing to comeback with a right cross, Wilton was throwing a right cross of his own, The punch hit Maxine square in the face and she went down. The Lincoln high gym erupted, Wilton -- the team's worst fighter was taking apart a girl boxer. He went to a neutral corner while the ref counted. Maxine got to her feet at the count of eight and said she wanted to continue.

She was angry that she let the boy knock her down. There were two minutes left in the round and she needed a knockout. This time as she faced the boy - she right crossed to his shoulder - saw it went down and she did a quick double up with the cross to his head. Wilton was rocked. The girl's punch caught him by surprise and he wobbled in the middle of the ring. Maxine moved in and again used her right to hit the boy's shoulder - and again his hands dropped. As he delivered a right cross of his own - which Maxine anticipated and blocked - she delivered her own right haymaker into the boy's face. This time he went down. The gym went silent to see a girl boxer standing over a boy lying on the canvas. Maxine went to the neutral corner while Wilton got up at the count of eight.

He just had to survive this round and he would win on points...but he was embarrassed that he was knocked down by a girl and he wanted to show he was not hurt and stronger than his female opponent. Wilton stepped to the center of the ring and Maxine met his challenge. She and he began exchanging punches. However every time she hit his shoulder, the boy's head was wide open for a right cross - Maxine delivered about ten of those right crosses wobbling the boy who was now hanging on at the ropes. The Hanson bench was jumping up and down as Maxine began to pummel Wilton. There was 30 seconds left in the bout and she needed to drop the the boy.

His teammates were screaming for him to hang on and get off the ropes. In was not clear if he heard the advice through the flurry of punches that the girl was now delivering - without any answer from the boy's gloves. She worked his body, shoulder, another right cross to the head and then another and another.

Wilton staggered and collapsed in the center of the ring. The referee began the count. He tried to get up, but fell back to the mat at the count of ten. Maxine had won. The gym crowd was stunned to see the girl with her hand being raised in victory while her battered male opponent was helped to his feet. She proved she could take a punch and comeback from being down. Her teammates congratulated her as now they led the match 2-0.

Up next was Ashley...and she was fighting Bill....

Holy shit! I normally don't read boxing stories because it really bothers me when women get injured, (they get enough of that in real life, don't they?), but the quality of your writing drew me in, and the next thing I knew I was captivated.
The thing that really sets this story apart is your ability to get inside your character's heads instead of "he hit her and then she hit him"...
Good job! I hope to read more.

Default Girl Boxers - Ashley vs Bill

Seeing Maxine defeat the boy boxer from Lincoln High gave Ashley encouragement as she got ready for her match against Bill.

The Lincoln High crowd was stunned to see the girl knock out the boy in the last fight, however they figured if anyone was going to lose to a girl
it would have to be Wilton. After all he was the weakest member of the Lincoln High team - having won just two fights in his high school career.

The hometown gym knew the next fight was going to be different. Bill was ranked third in the conference. He never was knocked down and he won 90 percent of his fights in his three years on the team. He was 5-6 and 132 pounds, built of muscle from hours in the weight room and on the heavy bag. He was about the same size as Ashley but when the two fighters came to the center of the ring for instruction the difference in their body structure was quite evident.

Bill had sculpted abs and definite development in his arms, legs and back. Ashley had a more soft looking athletic build. Her muscles did not show through her feminine skin - although she had strength and endurance from years of gymnastics and soccer.

Bill snickered that he couldn't believe they were sending a girl out to be massacred as he touched gloves and went back to his corner waiting for the bell. Ashley was a bit intimidated by the loud crowd noise and the boy's attitude - but she figured that she earned her right to be here, and Maxine won her fight so now was her chance.

At the bell, Bill came out slowly - but his style was similar to that of the boy she defeated to win a spot on the boxing team. He would slowly stalk and bull his way in. Bill knew he could take a punch and he certainly wasn't worried about the punching power of a girl. After all he took hits from boys and always came back to knock them out. Ashley was using footwork to keep her distance and try to parry the boy with jabs. She was having trouble keeping him at bay, and he hit her arms with a right cross and then another, which caused her to drop her guard. He quickly came back with a right cross to her head that dropped her in the middle of the ring.

The fight was 20 seconds old and the gym erupted as the Bill went to a neutral corner with Ashley lying in the middle of the ring. She heard the referee's count, and was able to get to her feet at the count of eight. She nodded yes when the ref asked if she wanted to continue.

Bill charged out of his corner to finish the job. He certainly wanted to knock out the girl in the first round - to show that she had no business being in the same ring with him. Ashley met his charge with a jab to his head and a right cross of her own to his side. The punches had no effect as the boy smiled - knowing the girl couldn't hurt him. Bill continued to bull his way in and deliver right hand blows to Ashley's arms and side, but she was able to protect her head and face and danced away from much of the boy's punching power - as the round ended.

The coach who saw Ashley's reddened face where she was hit, and the bruises beginning to show on her arms -- asked if she wanted to go back for Round Two. She said "of course, this is a boxing match I expected to get hit and want to see if I can do some damage of my own."

At the bell the Lincoln spectators were on their feet yelling for Bill to finish the girl. He too wanted to end this quickly. He won most of his bouts by knock out and he certainly didn't want a girl to go the distance with him -- which would question if he lost some punching power.

Bill began with another right cross to Ashley's face. The force of the blow pushed her gloves back into her nose. Another right cross to her head pushed her against the ropes - and Bill began an assault of right haymakers - one after another. Ashley was coiled in a defensive posture against the ropes - but everyone expected that the blows she was taking would soon take their toll and she'd collapse in front of the male fighter.

Suddenly it occurred to Ashley that Bill had yet to throw a punch with his left hand. He's been pummeling her with his right but nothing with his left. She decided to move to the boy's left side - almost daring him to punch with his left. He took the dare and jabbed - hitting Ashley in the chest. The punch was soft and had nothing behind it. She realized that Bill was always going for knockouts with his power right hand, but his left had very little pop.

She tried her theory again. This time Bill tried to hit her with his right as she was moving to his left. He missed and now he was wide open for a counter punch.
Ashley delivered a left cross that caught the boy on the side of the head. She had the full weight of her body behind the punch - and Bill was wobbled by the blow.
Ashley smiled as she again moved to the left - and again Bill tried to catch her with a right cross - again leaving himself open for another left jab and right cross from the girl. Bill was dazed by the two punches. He looked at the girl and wondered "Did she throw those punches?"

The Hanson bench jumped to its feet as they saw Bill was hurt. The gym which was calling for blood minutes before - was now hoping their representative could hang on. Ashley moved in to further her attack on the boy. Bill backed into the ropes and Ashley began pounding on his body - hitting his sides and every now and then connecting with his head.

During the flurry, Bill was able to catch a second wind, and while Ashley was delivering what she thought was the final beat down on the boy, Bill came up with a right cross that caught Ashley square on the temple. She was rocked back five feet from the blow and fell to the mat.

The gym again went crazy that Bill knocked down the girl - who was taking an eight count. Ashley was angry with her carelessness. She figured she had the round won, but this knock down will certainly give the round to the boy.

She was correct. Bill was now up two rounds to zero with the third and final round approaching. His coach told him to play it safe and box the girl at a distance.
"She showed a surprising ability to take a punch and counter with an offense of her own," the coach told John. "You have this fight won by decision, if you play it smart."

However Bill didn't want to beat the girl by a decision. His male ego was screaming for him to pummel the girl and not play it safe dancing away from her.
He charged from the corner at the beginning of Round Three. He knocked down the girl twice already and he knew he could put her away for good.

Ashley came out wanting to continue her strategy of forcing the boy to punch with his left.
As she moved left, Bill began throwing jabs that Ashley was able to swat away. She allowed some of the punches to get through knowing they wouldn't hurt and she could counter with her own right cross.

Bill was getting frustrated that he couldn't catch Ashley with the power right hand. He tried with a haymaker that again left him off balance. Ashley took advantage and delivered a right cross of her own - catching the boy on the temple. Bill was again wobbling in the center of the ring, as Ashley moved in - the boy grabbed her in a clinch and whispered "You're done, I'm going to knock you out this round."

Ashley laughed "I don't think so, You're wobbling, woozy and about ready to go."

Bill pushed her away and glared -- again throwing a right cross at the girl who was moving to his left. He again was out of position and open for Ashley's counter.

Her right cross, followed by a left jab and another right cross - pushed the boy against the ropes. She saw it in his glazed eyes that he was hurt. She began pummeling his body - wary that this toe to toe battle would allow the boy a chance to deliver his own haymaker. He tried it and Ashley blocked it -- allowing her to counter again with three jabs to the boy's midsection. The boy was pinned against the ropes by the girl who was now throwing punches into his body and face almost at will. His chest and stomach were beginning to show red welts - where his six pack abs once were.

His bench was screaming for Bill to get off the ropes. His coach yelled for him to take a knee - which would give him a chance to stop the girl's assault and for him to recover during an eight count. "Even if you lose this round, your still ahead on points," the coach yelled
But Bill had never been knocked down and he certainly was not going to let his first knock down come from a girl.

He knew he could fight his way out of this. He began throwing punches with both his left and right. However the toll of the fight to this point had sapped his power. Ashley felt the punches on her body and knew she could take them while she delivered blows of her own.

The flailing gloves by both the boy and girl was giving the crowd a real fight -- but anyone watching closely could see the girl's punches were connecting with regularity on the boy's head, face and midsection. While the boy was hitting her on her arms.

Ashley stepped back causing the boy to step in to follow her to the middle of the ring. She wanted him off the ropes and she knew he would follow her to challenge her toe to toe.

"You're losing Bill," she whispered as she jabbed and punched his face. Bill was woozy on rubbery legs. His attempts to punch the girl were slow and lumbering as she was now swatting down any attempt he made and answering them with three or four punch combos. The crowd was screaming for Bill to move away and hang on. But again his male ego refused to admit that he had to run from a girl, and he stepped in close to deliver what he thought would be finishing punches.

Ashley let the right cross hit her shoulder. It had no pop. And now she stepped up to finish the boy.
A flurry of jabs, crosses and upper cuts into Bill's face and stomach had the boy staggering in the ring with his hands down at his side looking at the female fighter in front of him. He couldn't comprehend how she got him in this predicament. She looked so soft. He beat dozens of boys who were seemingly stronger and tougher than she. And yet he felt his legs getting ever more rubbery - a feeling he never had before.

Ashley moved in for the kill - a flurry of two crosses and an upper cut to the boy's jaw - sent the boy down. He was lying of the canvas for the first time in his boxing career. The Lincoln gym was silent - however the Hanson bench was up on its feet seeing Ashley move to a neutral corner as the referee began his count.

Bill heard the count - through the haze and buzz of the crowd and the pain in his body. He couldn't respond. He was counted out and needed help getting back to his bench. Ashley's hand was raised in victory. And Hanson now led the match 3-bouts to zero.

The girl fighters proved they belonged on the team.
Lincoln's boxing team was stunned by the events of having two of their boxers - one of whom was considered one of the best in the conference - be knocked out by girls. They never recovered and Hanson won the match 7-1. The only loss was the heavyweight division, which saw Hanson's boxer Robert get knocked out in the third round.

Thanks boyandy. Love your stuff too. I have more coming in this series. I only wish I knew how to put them in thread order. I am technically challenged. Anyway, again thanks for the support.

Enjoying this story immensely! Generally I like the guys to win for the most part, but since the story is Girl Boxers, I can’t complain!

Default Re: Girl Boxers - 1 - Ashley vs Robert the Heavyweight

Maxine vs Robert

Robert was the heavyweight boxer at Hanson High. At 6-4 and 220 pounds he was an imposing sight in the hallways. He believed he was due special privileges because of he was the heavyweight fighter for the school. And although he never had a winning record, he used his size and angry disposition to bully most of the students in the school and on the team. He was always wanting to spar with the smaller boxers to show them how much more powerful he was than them.

His teammates didn't like Robert but no one wanted to cross him and they just tried to stay out of his way.

After three matches Robert was 0-3, having lost his three bouts with heavyweights from other schools - two by knockout and the last one by decision. He always had an excuse why he lost.
In the latest bout he complained that the judges didn't appreciate his speed and couldn't keep up with his punches to score the bout correctly.

During practice one day, the coach had the team working on aerobics, and stamina training. The coach said he would be back in 30 minutes, but the team should keep up the aerobics until he got back. Robert began to complain that this "dancing" was a waste of time and the team should be sparring with each other.

"This is crap," snarled Robert. "This dancing and aerobics is something that girls do. We should be boxing."
After about ten minutes of his griping, Maxine chimed in that aerobics were a good way to build up endurance.
"Maybe if you had better stamina you wouldn't fade in the fourth and fifth rounds and lose your fights," she lectured.

The other boxers on the team knew Maxine was right -- because Robert always had a good first round but then would lose steam as his fight wore on and eventually lose the later rounds.
However, Robert was not good at taking advice, and he certainly didn't want to hear anything from one of the new girl fighters on the team.

Maxine who had won her three matches against the boys she faced, added "your punches slow down by the third round that anyone who can stay in the ring with you for two rounds, knows you're going to be nothing but a big target after that."

Robert stomped over to the girl "Shut up. I don't need any advice from someone who's been boxing less than two months."
"Maybe you should take the advice, after all I've won all my fights and you've yet to do anything to help the team," Maxine countered.
Robert glared at Maxine, if you weren't a girl I'd show you a thing or two about boxing."

"Tell you what big shot," Maxine said. "Let's forget that I'm a girl. I'm just a boxer. You're always looking to spar with guys who are smaller than you. How about we go at it."
The guys were surprised by Maxine's challenge. She was 100 pounds lighter and a foot smaller than Robert. Ashley, who was the other girl fighter on the team, asked Maxine if she knew what she was doing.

"Don't worry," Maxine answered. "This big lug is so slow he'll never hit me."

The guys on the team had mixed feelings. Although they didn't like Robert, some still hadn't come to grips that girls won spots on the boxing team and were able to compete with them in the manly sport of boxing. They wanted Robert to give the girl a beating as a way of showing macho pride. However two boys sided with Ashley and hoped Maxine was able to take Robert down a peg. He would have a hard time living down losing to a girl who was half his size.

Maxine said "Since we don't have anyone to score this fight, how about we just spar - no time limit, no rounds and the first one to get knocked down loses."
Everyone was surprised the girl was challenging Robert to a knock down fight. She didn't look like she had the power to topple the big kid.
Robert laughed "that's a deal. You'll never floor me."

Both fighters put on the gloves and met in the center of the ring. At the bell they went at it.

Robert threw a wild haymaker that Maxine was able to dodge, He began to chase the girl around the ring throwing punches that if they connected would surely knock out her out.. Maxine continued to dance and taunted "that's it champ, keep chasing me and in three minutes you'll be out of breath."
Robert refused to listen to the girl and he tried to cut off the ring. One of his punches did hit Maxine on the shoulder and sent her stumbling -- but she was able to grab the ropes and didn't fall.

"This is too easy," Robert shouted, as he was encouraged that his power was able to wobble the girl.
Maxine nodded "You nearly had me, but I'm still standing."

Most of the boys were cheering for Robert to kill the girl. The girls and two boys were cheering for Maxine, who continued to dance and weave away from the big kid's power punches. After about three minutes, it was evident that Robert was slowing down. His aggressive footwork to cut off the ring was now nothing more than a slow, lumbering step.

Maxine saw the boy getting tired "C'mon Robert, you can't be winded already. We've only been at this for three minutes."

Her taunts made Robert angry and he lunged a haymaker at Maxine. She saw he was off-balance and she took the opportunity to throw her first punches of the fight.
One connected with Robert's side and the other hit his chin. Although they were no enough to topple the male fighter, they did get his attention. Maxine smiled, knowing that Robert was surprised that he got hit.

"If this fight were being scored, you'd be losing since those punches scored points," Maxine jeered.

"I'm going to kill you," Robert yelled, as he continued to move after the girl. Maxine continued to dance and now was able to dart in and flick out a jab or two that caught Robert on his chest and face. The boy was getting frustrated that he couldn't catch the girl. He always seemed to be one second too late.

The fight was now five minutes old, and it was evident that Robert was tired.
"This is the time when other heavyweights would begin to take you apart," Maxine said, as she flicked out another jab at the boy's forehead.

Maxine's small gloves began to connect with the big kid, and when he threw a punch in retaliation the girl was able to skip aside and he hit nothing but air.
"Just as I said," Maxine lectured, "You're out of shape and now it's time to cut you down to size."

Robert glared at the girl but Maxine saw that his eyes had a glassy look that showed he was losing steam. She decided to test her theory by moving in close with two jabs and a right cross -- all of which connected with Robert's head.

“C’mon boy fight back,” Maxine jeered, as she saw Robert slow even more and his hands drop lower.

Boys on the side noticed that Robert's nose was trickling blood and his cheeks were getting puffy from where the girl had hit him.

"C'mon champ, where's all that power that was going to beat me into the canvas," Maxine taunted. She moved in quickly with two more jabs and a right cross that now had Robert wobbling. His hands were barely up, as he was breathing heavy. His teammates were screaming for him to suck it up and get tough.

"Yeah stud, get tough you don't want to be beaten by a girl," Maxine continued to taunt.

Robert growled that he was going to "kill the bitch." When he lunged forward with a punch, he was unsteady on his feet and Maxine caught him with a right cross that sent him into the ropes. Robert was able to grab the ropes to keep from falling. Maxine moved in for what she thought was going to be the kill, when Robert grabbed her in a clinch.
His 220 pounds was like dead weight on her shoulders, and he began to jab at her sides. The punches didn't hurt much, but the girl had to think of how she was going to get the hulk off her.

“This isn’t a dance class,” Maxine said. “You were complaining that you didn’t want to dance aerobics – you wanted to box – well c’mon fight me.”

Maxine spun the big kid around and she leaned against the ropes for support. She was able to launch a punch that caught Robert in the eyes and opened a cut that began to bleed.

It was at this point that Robert began to realize he was losing this fight. He had nothing left, and the girl was battering him almost at will.

Just then the coach came back into the gym. From his vantage point he saw the hulking frame of Robert leaning over the small feminine body of Maxine against the ropes.
"Robert, what are you doing to Maxine. That's not a fair fight," the coach yelled.

"You're right coach, it's not a fair fight," Maxine answered as she threw several more punches moving the big kid off of her. Anyone looking on would have had to be surprised to see this towering male fighter with his face all bloody and puffy facing off against a girl half his size, and she looked fresh as can be.

"Robert was trying to tell me how strength and power was better than agility and endurance when it came to boxing, and I had to show him he was wrong," Maxine shouted to the coach. And with that she let loose with a flurry of punches that tore into Robert's mid-section -- forcing him to double over. He was basically out on his feet, when his head came down to Maxine's belt-level and allowed her to deliver a hammer of a right cross that dropped the big kid at her feet. Maxine threw her hands into the air and shouted “Yeah.”

The boys on the team didn't know what to think. Could Robert be that bad or is Maxine that good. Anyway, the evidence was right there, the team's heavyweight boxer was knocked out by a girl.
"When he wakes up, tell him he needs to do more aerobics and stamina training," Maxine said to the stunned boys outside the ring. She and Ashley then skipped to the girl's locker-room.
