also there's a minor femdom scene in the first episode.. in which it seems like its a story arc through the show between the two characters. I'm just half way through the second episode so idn if it will continue

I hate to give you some bad news on the EP front, but that's kind of a meaningless title on a tv show in cases like this. Kind of just an extra credit for a movie star being on a TV show since the show getting green lit probably had a decent amount to do with her taking the role. Woody Harrelson and Matthew McConaughey both had EP credits for True Detective.

That being said, I'm definitely interested in checking out the scene you mentioned.

Update - episode three has a nice ball crushing scene between the two characters I talked about and looks like there will be plenty more femdom scenes between them as the show goes on. Also it seems Jessica biel suffered trauma she repressed and the scissor scene was her doing 'what she had already done' in the past to get out of the past traumatic situation she was in. The show is hinting the stabbing she did in the first episode on the guy was something she had already done before as well. My 'hopeful theory' is that she scissored some guy unconscious in her traumatic experience then preceded to stab the other guy like she did in the first episode so there is quite the possibility we will see another, longer and more dramatic Jessica biel headscissor as a flash back in this show as well!!

PS. Just saw Game of Thrones - 7x6 Beyond the Wall yesterday. I've never seen anything like it Before. I'm stunned.
It may be offtopic here on this forum, but GoT is just an Amazing TV-show...

if your in Canada showcase has picked up the show but it is 2 episodes behind. episode 2 is on tonight while episode 4 is on tonight wherever the usa network is (idn).

I was curious and did a little research.. she is definitely taking an active role. She read the book, which is also called the sinner, and was like 'whoa' and was like 'yo I'm doing this' and is very active in script preparation and tv adaptation. Also it seems like the femdom story arc between the two characters was not in the book.... so she's either approving the writing or taking an active roll in directing the writers to write certain storylines which I think is the more plausible possibility.

Really good show so far. I didn't get when the woman had the detective in the bathroom and was chocking him out and kept on asking him as he was gasping for air "did you tell her"? I was like "tell her what? " was he supposed to tell Jessica Biels character something? Maybe I missed something.

Violence is not a great stuff. In 21st century stronger woman should be as cool as stronger man. Both modes must have a lot to offer to people who go for it. I believe many more men and women will be attracted to discourses on woman stronger than man if the violence part is removed.
