It always comes down to the execution for me. Everyone has their kinks, but I'd argue that EricRRobert is one of the best writers on this forum, if not the best. He has a knack for making you buy into the characters which makes the events all the more impactful. That's at least why I dig his stories. They're not rushing to get to "the good stuff," there's real pacing with his entries.
