Forgive me Jennifer for not realizing you were in the WWE. I guess that explains why your as good as you are.
As a side I've always wanted to session with you. I plan on traveling there this summer to see Nikki Fierce. Maybe we can meet for my long awaited match (I mean beating).
Didn't Nikki retire? I always wanted to session with her but now it's too late.
I think it's tough to give an answer to. Obv Ronda would crush everyone and Sonya Deville is experienced in MMA too. Most guys that work out are much stronger than most of the WWE wrestlers. (I think only Mandy Rose can squat 300)

I would give the edge to the WWE against the majority of session wrestlers. But the ones like Veve etc., I would think they would crush almost all WWE girls.

I've become friends with Nikki over the years and am going to LA for a visit. She's agreed to wipe the mat with me because that's what friends do. Lol!!!

I really think a good amount of the girls I've seen would beat many of the girls we all watch on tv.
How about Nikki Fierce verse Sasha Banks or VeVe Lane vs Charlotte Flair or Kristie Etzold verse Ruby Riot?

WWE's folks are unbelievably talented/conditioned athletes. Some have backgrounds in freestyle wrestling.

I suspect a jiu-jitsu student like VeVe Lane would submit WWE wrestlers who aren't trained in that art.

But most WWE actresses are probably good at ground fighting.

Actually, this discussion might actually need to be about women professional wrestlers rather the WWE/WWF women wrestlers. If you take the recent discussions about Marvelous Moolah seriously, she and the wrestlers she trained never really knew how to wrestle. And Moolah and her trainees were connected with WWF/WWE at one time.

However, out the independent wrestling circuit during the same time, you apparently had some women wrestlers who trained with guys and had legitimate move set skills. Some of them probably could legitimately switch from choreographed pro wrestling moves to "actually make you tap" moves for a match.

Now WWE is recruiting out of the indy wrestling ranks and putting women on the roster who actually know their stuff. And you have a number of women working the indy circuit who know their stuff every bit as well as the guys. And you have some current wrestlers on the WWE roster, both male and female who get criticized for not very good on their skill sets.

This post is kind of a mess. Nobody criticizes WWE (TNA, whatever) talent for 'not knowing how to wrestle' in the sense we're talking about here, pretty much everybody knows what's up at this point. They're criticized for matches not looking good on TV, missing spots etc. Some of that is technical for sure, knowing how to do the moves physically, but it's never about the other thing because it's not relevant.
Somebody mentioned Sonya Deville before, she's actually won and lost real fights. She'd be a challenge for any session wrestler. The list of male pro wrestlers who've also been in the shoot fight game is much longer than the corresponding list for women, there are 2 reasons for that and I'd guess we all understand what they are.

Hey Jennifer, you were on WWE TV? What name did you wrestle under?
That's awesome. I'm a big fan of WWE and have been most of my life. I love the female wrestlers
I took a few year break from watching though, so maybe that's how I missed you. Really cool.

WWE Developmental Contract. Worked mostly in OVW which was their developmental at the time (this was pre-NXT days).

CM Punk/Phillip Jack Brooks wrestled professionally although he had no background in combat arts to speak of.

I'm no WWE expert, but my guess is that its actresses/wrestlers come from a variety of athletic backgrounds.

On the pro wrestling side, one of the women I suspect might be able to do fairly well in a "real" match is Saraya Knight aka Paige's mother. Among other things, she instructs at pro wrestling seminars here in the US. Interesting wikipedia entry on her.

Pro wrestling techniques sometimes are based on tactics from combat arts, but often are not.

CM Punk's pro wrestling background did nothing for him in his first MMA fight.

This lady you mention sounds like she may have street fights in her background. But I doubt she'd beat somebody trained in freestyle wrestling or jiu-jitsu.
