I definitely see 'sessions becoming easier' as a negative to getting stronger. This is one of many reasons that I don't lift weights.

A similar but opposite point is that I recently went on a spurt of running/sit-ups, in an attempt to improve my fitness, after having to cut a session short due to being so out of breath/unfit.

So, yes, my wrestling life is a consideration in my approach to working out.

I don't think you need to stop lifting weights. I am about 180, work out 6 days a week and box. I am also close to 50. A combination of the younger girls still having significant speed and flexibility over me along with me being very careful so noone gets hurt is enough for a good fwmale wrestler to be competitive. Girls skilled in BJJ will still kick my ass and girls without significant training won't, but it's still fun. I try not to get matches with anyone under 130 lbs as the weight advantage just becomes very big.

I recently had a session where I had something flulike, as in fevers and shakes unless I'd taken XS Tylenol within 2 hours. I hate to cancel sessions on the same day + I feel like it may be my only chance to wrestle this girl so I went through with it.

This woman is strong, and may have handled me anyway but I was definitely weaker. Holds that might normally just constrict me caused pain and I was short of breath and a helpless faceseat.

I think this woman could've taken me healthy but not that easily. I still don't recommend the flu.

Back in November 2010, I had a match with Star* in Nottingham. It was great fun, but I won pretty easily because at that time, she was relatively inexperienced.

Three months later, February 2011, we had a re-match. I hadn't done any training in the intervening period, and was way over-confident. But in the meantime, she had become fitter and more skilled.

I'll never forget the look on her face when she realised - quite early on in the match - that she was not only winning the contest, but winning it handsomely!

We had many sessions later, but that second match will always be my favourite...

Exactly! I've been doing that so that even when i go 110% fight, i'll lose badly to a very fit, athletic girl. There are plenty of them at my school, and i fantasize about wrestling them every day

Personally the joy I find in mixed wrestling is its competitiveness not knowing the outcome. Wrestling is, what I consider, a sport. If I win, I win and if I lose, I lose. However it does feel good to lose and in some cases, it feels better than winning.

This is actually the reason why I've never learned any martial arts...I am a gym rat, 6'0, 175, lean and strong...but I feel the real factor comes down to skill level. I always start out arm wrestling, and have never lost yet...then transition to the wrestling where the girl's skill level totally outclasses me.

If it wasn't for this fetish, I'd probably be a regular at the gym lifting weights and the normal stuff. But instead I stay around 130 lbs or so and just walk a lot or do Bikram Yoga.

No better diet than the "have to remain light so I can get my ass kicked my a hot chick" diet.

Back in the 90s I used to do this to "incentivize" girls by giving them a chance to win, for real.
However the girls started getting stronger while I got weaker, so no longer necessary.
