Default Just wondering if this has ever happened to anyone else...

I don't get to have a mixed match too often, maybe about once every 6 months. But I definitely enjoy for the woman to win. I also like the matches to be competitive, I don't like knowing that I had to let the woman win. I want to be beaten in my matches. I typically choose opponents that either have the moves and experience or are just bigger and stronger so that I'm sure to lose. My last match was one I fully expected to be destroyed in. But I found myself going so easy on her just so I didn't pin her right away. Eventually, she was tired out and it was obvious I wasn't. I pinned her and that was that. Match over. Since I don't get to have matches too often, it was such a let down to win! Anyone else have an experience like that? Bummer...

Interesting. I wonder if the woman you session ed with had overbooked and was worn out?

Just a thought but in a semi-competative or competative match, it should be fully appropriate for one of the two parties to "dial it down" to the level of the other person. Not saying you would not go for submissions but don't necessarily have to use your full strength.

In a well run mainstream martial arts school, the class instructor just might pull you off to the side and have a talk with you if you don't get that idea.

I suppose she just had an off day. By her looks she should have destroyed me! Which I would have gladly preferred!

Givin your story the next time you session would you choose her again or would you go with somebody eles because I am facing the same issue I had a session with somebody and she beat me pretty good the next time we went I controlled more because I figured out her moves. But I really like her and would like to go again with her but I don't want it to be to easy. I will have to wait and see what I will do

Great question. I planned a second match with her. I know her personally and she always taunts me. She is bigger and stronger than me but I just had the upper hand in the wrestling holds. I gave her a hard time about the loss so I hope she will prepare better for next time. If she can't win the rematch, then I will move on.

I like the competitiveness of a match myself but I 90% of the time will be defending. But like yourself I usually go after the more mainstream girl. I picked one randomly off the wb and it was horrible.

You can't always tell by looks. By looks alone (and based on her brutal training schedule) I would totally expect Cheyenne Jewel to be able to crush either VeVe Lane or Ariel X. And yet.

There's just a weird X factor where sometimes girls are far better or worse than they seem on paper.

Keri Spectrum is another girl who I'm realizing has the X factor - she does not look like a wrestler, but she can really hang with the best of them.
