But there are no such arguments. We are talking about 50 years from now and it is completely speculative.

I dont think women will ever completely catch up. In swimming the 50m record for men is 20.3 seconds for women it is 23.5 seconds. And in swimming 3 seconds is a pretty sizable difference. And if you give it 50 years and we will see. Ok but its not like the men arent going to improve in those 50 years also.

But the men are already near the top of their game. There must be a limit.
Anyway, we'll wait and see.
In any case, I expect in the interim we'll have many more coed teams as well as competitions.

What sports do you see coed teams?

Where does this statement come from???

did you follow the discussion?

i showed women were at the top of their game since 20 years in running sports whereas men still progress.

how can women ever catch up????

If we have divisions where steroids, PEDs and all other kinds of science experiments are allowed, maybe. But then men will be doing that too.

The answer is and I am a fan of some women's sports, but the answer is no. That's not intended as a putdown to women and athletics. There are certainly some great female athletes. For instance, the Williams sisters would stomp all of us in a tennis match through sheer power alone and there are some women capable of defeating men in an athletic event. However, the question was speaking in general times and that answer is no. Men tend to be more aggressive by nature. In general, men are taller, weigh a lot more and as others have stated have more testerone. Are there exceptions to the rule? Of course and that's not to say that a girl's team couldn't sometimes defeat a boy's team but let's use basketball as an example. A good boys high school team could defeat a WNBA team in most instances because of the ability to outjump most of them and to a certain extent play above the rim.

I think one of the reasons many of us enjoy mixed wrestling is because we enjoy the thought of a strong, powerful, athletic woman who can legitimately defeat a male in a match and there are some out there, but a board like this wouldn't exist if women defeating men was the norm and not the exception to the rule. The strongest of the strong are going to be men and that's the way it is. If you take the world's strongest man and the world's strongest woman the man is always going to be stronger. However, if you pitted the world's strongest woman against most of us on this board, she would be dominant. A lot of it depends on the individual and not necessarily the gender, but as a collective whole men are always going to have some advantages.
