Ronda armbars Luke Rockhold

Obviously, this is a training excercise, but seriously, if Luke Rockhold can get a solid defence against the Rousey armbar, yet still gets submitted, there is basically no chance any 135 lb female can defend against it.

The Ronda Rousey vs. Man publicity has fizzled out over recent weeks after discussion ping-ponged over the champ's chances in the Octagon with a male counterpart. The debate launched when Joe Rogan claimed the Judoka ace might be able to beat 50 percent of the male UFC bantamweight roster. Joe's comments opened the floodgates for a stream of controversy - flooding the MMA headlines for weeks.

Recent video footage captured from BJPenn.com shows Rousey tangling on the AKA mats with surging middleweight contender Luke Rockhold. The footage could ignite a spark to reopen debate on the gender controversy, as the towering 185 lb. Rockhold can be seen defending Rousey's armbar with relative ease. The AKA standout lies on the mat with his arms clasped together as Rousey strenuously exerts herself to try and break Rockhold's grip. It should be noted that neither Rockhold or Rousey were rolling and transitioning on the mat as seen in the typical jiujitsu formalities. It appeared as though the armbar queen was working exclusively on her grip breaking technique.

Ronda Rousey is set to collide with title hopeful Bethe Correia at UFC 190 on August 1 while Luke Rockhold leapfrogged over the rest of the middleweight contenders with his stunning second-round finish of Lyoto Machida at UFC on FOX 15, and is anticipated to face the emerging victor of UFC 187's championship tilt between Chris Weidman and Vitor Belfort.
