Can we all just agree how bad film directors are at this?

Loose holds, bad acting, too quick, bad lighting, 99% of the time someone or something else intervenes which prevents him from being choked unconscious...

If only they would consult one of us first or something

I agree, in this video at the minute 4:19, you can see the girl applying a rear naked choke in the guy, could be a great moment, but it was so shitty, poor-constructed and quick that it was laughable , the girl barely hold it for one second and the guy goes out...

That isn't a movie. It's just a stand alone stunt/fight scene which was filmed a few years back.

But no, as always, they had to screw it up with fake punches, the man instantaneously shifting from her thighs to her ankles with a camera angle change, and her throwing him off the bed and throwing a vase at his head rather than choking him out
