Due to some unforeseen technical issues - like the complete failure of the computer that held all of the Absolute Mixed Wrestling files - we've been delayed in our productions progress, but we have plans to make that up to everyone. Details about this will be forthcoming very shortly.
In the meantime, please allow us to introduce our second match:
ABSOLUTE 002 (filmed and completed - release date TBA)
Karen
(5'10 and 155 lbs. - Muay Thai fighter)
vs.
The Spoiler
(6'0, 220 lbs. - Brazilian Jiu Jitsu purple belt)
Karen is a tall, strong and very athletic Muay Thai fighter who also trains in Brazilian Jiu Jitu. And while her grappling ability is not on the same level as The Spoiler, that didn't deter this Amazon one bit. Now, we're not even going to pretend to leave you hanging in the balance as to who won and who lost this fight - because The Spoiler pretty much put Karen in her place on the mat - but do not let that dissuade you from picking up a copy of this battle for yourself when it's finally available.
These two go at it HARD. And the match turns mean fairly quickly as submissions aren't properly released after tap-outs, and hand-over-mouth smothering is used, forearm-across-the-throat chokes are attempted and other dirty tactics come in to play. Oh, and did we mention body striking? Because both competitors take liberties with the rules here and, in one instance, Karen manages to wobble her larger opponent with a hard knee to the body while both combatants are engaged standing up.
This match has a number of submissions (and, yes, Karen does score a few of them) but what makes this fight stand out is the variety of submissions employed over the 25 minutes of the match, not to mention the 5 minutes of post-match punishment for the loser.
