Fights From Animation - DVD Screenshots
It's time for another of my "Let's see if this floats or sinks" experiments. A couple of times before I've posted stuff like this in 'Fighting Females Comics'; but I'm not sure filmed material really belongs in that already overcrowded thread. And if anyone appreciates it, I can probably fill a whole page from just this first disc. So, what do we have for an opener?
Sensei has just awarded his youngest (female) pupil The Ancient Sword Of What-Not for being Best Fighter In Class. One of the male students thinks he should have it instead, and so challenges the little nymph to a duel. At Sensei's instigation, she promises to defeat him using just one finger - and has the courtesy to show her opponent beforehand which one she will use to utterly humiliate him. And that's pretty much what happens. After ducking his clumsy attacks, she hooks the finger into his mouth, and uses the hold to throw him on his arse. Job done. |

Re: Fights From Animation - DVD Screenshots
But it's not quite job done. The hopelessly outclassed big lump goes on the attack again, with equally predictable results [1-12]. But what's this? She looks to be in big trouble now as he grabs her neck and applies a throat lift. Sensei and the other students watch on, concerned but unwilling to interfere [13-17].
Ah! No sweat; she's allowed to use one deadly finger, remember? And soon he's back on his knees; defeated and becalmed at her feet [18-22]. It's time to "FINISH HIM!!!" [23-24] But Sensei steps in to say the arrogant male has enough of a lesson for one day. After such a humiliating beating, there's no need to cripple him (or worse) with a finger strike to the temple [25-26]. "Hey, Sensei - maybe we could compromise by letting her remove those slippers and rubbing her tiny - but now slightly sweaty - feet all over his face? No? Never mind; worth a try." And so we settle for seeing the victorious teen girl receive the mystical weapon that is now rightfully hers [27]. Quote:

Re: Fights From Animation - DVD Screenshots
It's just two minutes afterwards on the DVD, but several years later in the story's timeline when we next catch up with Little Miss One Finger Punch. And she's now presiding over a secret Underground Fight Club where playboys bet millions on the results. We're deliberately left in the dark as to whether the little cherry blossom has turned bad in the meantime.
[1-10] A big burly fighter has just cheated and, even worse, used a weapon to kill his opponent. Our girl isn't best pleased, and jumps down from her balcony to the centre of the ring. "If it's Death Matches you want, try me now" is her take on things. The idiot takes up the challenge and attacks from all angles, and we see she's lost none of her childhood skills as she smoothly avoids all the clumsy oaf's punches. [11-20] After a while, she gets bored and retaliates. Maybe she promised to defeat her opponent using just one foot this time; because that's all she needs to dump him on the ground. The embarrassed male fighter figures he needs a weapon again, and smashes a beer bottle before going on the attack with it. [21-28] But all she uses to get the better of him is one booted foot again - to neatly kick it out of his hand, and to catch it cleanly herself - all with her eyes shut. She discards the weapon, and the watching crowd revel in his humiliation at her hands (or rather foot). "So what's it to be big man? Have you had enough for today?" Or will he still insist... on a Fight To The Death against The Martial Arts Mistress!!! Stay tuned for the next thrilling episode folks: Same Bat Time; Same Bat Channel. [Yes, this really is a Batman cartoon; but, to be honest, I'm preferring it without him.] |

Re: Fights From Animation - DVD Screenshots
Very good action!
I had the chance to actually see the last clip. But I really hate this "trend" that all fighting heroines have to cover their leg as much as possible... Yes twitter and other social medias are very aggressive with character showing a bit of skin now... (unless it's clearly erotic-porn content...) such a shame...

He gets one final warning [14] - and stupidly ignores it. So she intercepts his next advance with a punch in the belly [15-17]. Then it's a vicious straight-hand jab to the throat [18-21]; The Death Blow! She casually shakes the victim's blood from her fingers [22-26] as he slides to his knees, and then flat on his stomach. We leave the scene with his lifeless, beaten body lying at the feet of the all-conquering Martial Arts Mistress [27]. Quote:

Re: Fights From Animation - DVD Screenshots
I did warn you I could fill a page (and more) with this scene.
No sooner has the (anti-?)heroine dispatched the musclebound hunk, than she's attacked by a bunch of ninjas wielding various Sharp Pointy Things. The ninja with a pair of garden forks (or whatever) attacks first, and gets his own weapon rammed into his stomach. The skilled girl then easily evades the rest of her relatively clumsy opponents. It was at this point that Batman arrived on the scene. But I don't want to watch the square-jawed, pointy-eared dullard; so you're not getting to see him either. |

Re: Fights From Animation - DVD Screenshots
Continuing from the last post, her leap away from Fishing Rod Fellah [1] lands her straight in front of Nunchaku Numpty [2]. But she easily ducks under his attacks [3-6]. Then I discover the cause of the occasional flashes on screen: It's the insertion of a couple of whiteout frames at the point of contact, one of which I captured here in the middle of a flexible-legged head kick [7-11].
Moving on, she engages in a bout of fisticuffs with a strangely unarmed ninja [12-16] - finishing him off with a "Talk To The Hand!" Palm-Face-Strike-Thingy [17-18]. |

Re: Fights From Animation - DVD Screenshots
Phew! It does go on a bit, doesn't it? I know I warned it would fill a whole page. But if I'd remembered there were so many frog-coloured ninjas storming the arena to take on the heroine, I'd have condensed things a little. Still; no turning back now, so here's the next episode.
