Yes, I took this from the toxic twitter thread and yes, I'm commenting because 1) I REALLY like and respect Mikayla and 2) fuck you guys on TeamBullshit.

I'm very happy to pay top dollar for the best service - price is literally never an issue with the providers I like - but if I'm stepping off the reservation to try a new spot, I argue there is significant risk in paying even the lowest price in that range. I may be able to absorb the $300 loss as a "Stupid Tax" if a session fails to meet even minimum expectations, but I'm not getting that time back. So, while I'm not exactly the same sort of client as the vast middle of sessiongoers, I really am "one of the guys".

It's the same with sessions. What price makes sense to keep in the black in finances. I had this conversation with a provider not to long ago. She was considering lowering her prices, but doing so would require her to book more sessions and open herself up to a larger clientele that could potentially be less desirable. Just Nt business you have to take into account supply, demand, overhead, potential loss and gain in sales at a price point. Simply what is the most efficient way to stay on the plus side of finances, and at what point things need to change. When you talk about respecting a business or business plan, I respect your or anyone's right to set their prices as they wish. As a consumer it is my place to determine if the value I get from the product is worth the price tag to me. When guys are pissed about a girl being too expensive its a matter of the guys evaluation of the experience is lower then the cost of the experience. I have excused myself from inquiries when they price was higher then my desire. And I have over paid for experiences because it was a "bucket list " opportunity. The initial post stating the standard for sessions now is $300-500 isn't wrong, its just what it is. You just have to bottom end and top end of what women think they can kmget and keep their business viable. |
