Ellie, I don't like to kick someone when they're down, so I wont---it can only get better. My take on Pep up to now ? A Manage of a TOP club should do all of the following in any season.

1/ Finish in the top four.
2/ Win silverware.
3/ Ensure his team play attractive, entertaining football.

Pep certainly seems to be ticking all the boxes. I was very critical in my expectations of him last season. The remaining season ? Who knows ? Lets just say that the jury is out.
Well the jury has well and truly come in and it's a very large slice of Humble Pie for me. Premiership title, record points score, most goals in a Premier season and largest winning margin since start of the Premiership. Just that other title ( the so called Champions League ) left to win next season. Best of luck to the Scousers though.

100 points is something to be very proud of. Any chance of a Man City parade thru the Man U part of town or is that going too far? Better Pep than The Anointed One or whatever he calls himself.
Yes, good luck to Liverpool.

Reading online the other day at the ESPN site about how the FA Cup is playing second fiddle to most everything else, League title, champions league, europa league and I think it's really a shame because that is an English title that the teams should be proud of. I'm sure they love when they win but there seems to be a feeling of "well, we didn't win anything else so I guess this is okay." I think that stinks, but then all the news is about champions league and such. The Premier League tears itself up with tough competition which doesn't help when a team goes against Europe. I hope Liverpool can win, but holding my breath.

Well I haven't posted in this thread for a while, and now that I am, it's with a heavy heart---we didn't win that 3rd Premiership on the bounce. Man U remain the only team that has. It has been a very strange Premiership, recommencing with games played to empty terraces. Very strange times with games having "canned" crowd noise, no real atmosphere and no home advantage. Still, life does not always continue to give you lemons. On 2nd June, after the scousers had won the Premiership, the natural order of things was restored. The "Bin Dippers" were sent back down the A580, with tails between their legs, after getting stuffed 4-0 and it could easily have been 6-0.

Anyway, lets hope that when "normal" service is resumed, we all remember that for some people, this terrible Pandemic caused something much more than the loss of a football title. Many people lost lives and the lives of loved ones. Surely, to quote the song, "Things Can Only Get Better".

As an Aston Villa fan, I think it's a complete mistake that they didn't cancel the rest of the season and pretend it never happened.

Couldn't agree more mate, though I think you'd have more chance of finding rocking horse shit, than finding a Scouser who would.

Well it's quite some time since the above post, but it seems that "The Citizens" are again on their way to another Premiership title after stuffing Arsenal 4-1. Arsenal should adopt that Abba song "Slipping Through My Fingers" as their official song.

Nobody wants to see City win again especially since they're going to have all their wins vacated in a couple years and be sent down to league 2. I think we could all agree that it would be much more fun if we picked a random point in the season to actually start tracking points, like say, I don't know, right after Stephen Gerrard got sacked and not count anything that happened before that point.
