Watching Raquel and Helen Von Mott go at it brings back lots of memories! Helen was the first woman I contacted regarding sessions. I remember her being very friendly and helpful in setting up a session with Shannon Logan back in 2003 when she was associated with Virago. Long story short, the session with Shannon fell thru due to scheduling conflicts. I am glad to see that Raquel is back in the swing of things and looks like she still has it from the vids and feedback on boards/wb270 Great selection of gals and awesome video to start the poll!

Looks like a pretty close race!! Tiffany is making some ground! I think I am going to have to do some more research (even though I voted for Helen..still fun just watching more vids, hahahah)

I think that the best submission wrestler of the list is Shannon Logan, but I believe that Lia Labowe is absent.

I don't doubt Tiffany's abilities, but the amount of votes she has tells more about her popularity, rather than her skills I would say.

I can't agree with that. If people voted considering the skills, then it's about her skills. And the other thing is, she's not a pretty face in this industry. If she's popular it must be because her skills. Same for Hellen. It's arguable for pretty or sexy women like Luzia, Julie...etc.

Well, I included Tiffany in this poll because of her obvious skills, and because she is arguably the best wrestler that came out of DWW in 2000s. But the fact that she gets more votes than say Beatrice Goffin, Kathy Gifford, or even Raquel, means that she is known to today's wrestling fans more than the rest.

Ok that's true. I haven't even seen those Beatrice Goffin or Kathy Gifford other than on this video. If you have any full videos, please post them. If they are good as Tiffany or Helen, they are worth to watch.

Liz lightspeed has the total body to defeat a man but is new to the sport.
nadadge has a body that well gives ANY man and advantage however she ahs been trained by Beatruce Geoffen or whatever her name is but the best mixed wrestler of all time.

I've read about Sonia in the past and she sounds like the best as far as submissions mainly because of her killer scissors. She can supposedly submit anybody in any type of scissor.

I've seen all the others in the list before and I don't think they top Sonia as a submission wrestler. I don't think even the so called BJJ experts like Helen and Shannon could submit people as easily as Sonia.

I have wrestled quite a few of the finalists and semi-finalists on this list of Best Female Submission Wrestlers and my overwhelming choice among this selection is Sonia Fernandez. Among the non-listed best submission wrestlers I would like to submit my choice as a finalist of Petra from DWW. She has always impressed me with a certain amount of skill, but more importantly I have been awed by her combination of size and strength that is shown off in her destroying leg scissor holds. Next mention, there was a point in the arc of one of my personal session friends that I thought she was probably the best in the USA at that time. (Tall brunette many times on Personal Session pics) My current wish to wrestle on this list is Tiffany because she is definitely big, 6' and about 165lbs, and probably strong, and yet still young enough to be near her prime. Tiffany is rumoured to enjoy dominating a man in wrestling. I'd like to find out. Having said all that, Sonia had by far and away the strongest scissors holds I have ever felt. We had set up my standard set of rules in which she didn't have to give up when I tapped out. When she crushed me in a body scissors shortly after we began I was shocked for two reasons. One was the sheer intensity of the pain, and two was that she let up on me. We tried to see how quickly she could make me give in a scissors. It didn't take but a fraction of a minute. Although we didn't wrestle hard per se because she had sprained her wrist, we did try a number of situations. She was just incredibly strong. I was going to review my DVD from that match but I saw from my library that it is checked out presently as I had lent it to a friend. I know that I have had at least several hundred matches, though it may or may not be over the 1,000 mark. Let me stress. Sonia Fernandez had the strongest scissors ever.
