Default The Shevchenko sisters

I find the Shevchenko sisters fascinating the bullet and the Panthers. The more I watch them the more I hope they keep fighting for a few more years. Do any of other sisters that are involved in MMA ?

I don't know of any other sisters who are pro MMA fighters; among men you have the Pettis brothers. I agree with the fascination. The Shevchenkos come from Kyrgyzstan, a small country in central Asia once part of the Soviet Union. Antonina and their Mom have more the somewhat Asian appearance of most inhabitants of that country, while Valentina has more the Ukrainian look of their paternal ancestry. They are a complimentary set of beauties. At some point they moved to Peru, where their coach, Pavel Fedotov, once saved Valentina's life in a gun fight in a restaurant, where he was wounded. Now the sisters, their mom and coach, travel the world, working out at various gyms and in the outdoors. They frequently visit Texas for fishing, shooting, and MMA practice.

The Lybarger twins; Jocelyn & Jillian.

Jocelyn Lybarger fought in the UFC at 115lbs. She fought Tecia Torres, Randa Markos and Nina Ansaroff. Losing all three of her appearances in the organisation she retired in 2017 with a record of 6-4. Her twin sister Jillian did not go as far as Jocelyn. She retired in 2014 with a 5-5 record as an amateur and and 0-3 as a professional.

---

The Fausto sisters; Zoila & Stephanie

Zoila "The Warrior Princess" Frausto was one of the very best 115/125 fighters in the world back in 2009-2012. She had a record of 12-1, losing only to Miesha Tate at 135lbs. She won Bellator's 115lb tournament in 2010 defeating Jessica Penne, Jessica Aguilar and Megumi Fugii in the final. Fugii was recognised as the best Strawweight on the planet at the time. Sadly, her career came unstuck and she went on a 4 fight losing streak between 2013 and 2016, only fighting sporadically. After a 3 year hiatus, she returned in 2019 for combate americas, winning her first fight with the promotion but losing her 2nd and most recent bout. At 35, with a current record of 14-6, her best days are probably behind her.

Her sister, Stephanie, is 7 years younger but has not enjoyed the success Zoila did in her prime. Her record is 6-6.

Here are some more pics of Zoila Frausto;

New addition to this thread.

The Lee Sisters - Angela & Victoria

With Angela Lee announcing her pregnancy and hiatus from the sport, the timing couldn't have been much better for ONE to sign her 16-year-old sister Victoria Lee.

Hailed as “arguably the single greatest pound-for-pound female prospect in the world today” by Sityodtong, the teenage Lee has already achieved great things in her early days of martial arts.

She’s a two-time Pankration Junior World Champion, a 2020 Hawaii State Wrestling Champion, and a 2019 IMMAF Junior World Champion.
Looking forward to the teenager making her promotional debut with ONE. She'll no doubt be whooping some grown women's asses.

During the late 2000's I attended the debut of the Muay Thai Premier League at The Pyramid in Long Beach, CA. Valentina Shevchenko fought Angelique Pitiot. At certain angles Val bore a resemblance to Helen Von Mott, in my view. Both masters!

The Shevchenko sisters are the most exciting duo to come along since Nick Bockwinkel and Ray Stevens took the world of professional wrestling by storm in the early 70s.
