Aaaannd there are four more messages of similar context. That's just from this morning. Crazy as hell.
The question is:
Can anyone participating in bdsm activities called normal for real and aren't we all, in terms of social normalcy/acceptability, crazy?

Everyone is crazy in this world. We are all on our own, individual journeys. The fact that something is rare doesn't mean it's more crazy. Acceptability is the worry of the weak. Be strong. People tend to like those who stand by their personal desires and follow their true drives.

Misinterpretation. Crazy as hell = sending multiple looooong messages saying the same thing over and over after being told "no."

That doesn't excuse you from standard decency. I like to think of myself as a baseline tolerable human being who just likes to get choked really hard during sex. My fetish doesn't define me or define my interactions with other human beings. There are plenty of guys who lurk in the internet shadows and act incredibly inappropriately. It's the equivalent of that guy your female friends tell you is a total creep, but you haven't seen it, because he doesn't act that way when there are any guys around or there's more than one person. Any time I've mentioned a past experience on here, I've gotten messages from guys on here who never actually post on here asking for more details as if I'm going to be completely open to sharing them with a complete stranger I know nothing about and I'm well aware that it's infinitely worse for any female with an online presence. Any female fitness person on insta is constantly bombarded with DM's of "do you think you could beat me in arm wrestling?" "are you stronger than most of the men you know?" "how big are your biceps?" "can you crush a watermelon with your thighs" and a bunch that are much worse than that.

Yes, people who participate in BDSM activities with consenting adults are perfectly normal. The cardinal rule behind BDSM is just that: consent and respecting your partner’s kinks and especially their limits.

I have never been ashamed of what I find attractive and what turns me on. What does embarrass me, unfortunately, are dudes like the aforementioned who are very creepy towards session wrestlers and women in general. It sucks when I encounter people who are into the same thing I am, but very clearly have no idea how to properly conduct themselves around women. I am friends with quite a few female strength athletes, and you would not believe the kinds of messages they get both from men who like to criticize their particular discipline or physique (I.e. the “you look like a man,” or “that’s not feminine” comments,) or those who just throw their fetish toward strong women without their consent (I.e. the “I want to armwrestle you” “I want you to beat me up” “how big are you biceps marry me plz.”) I’m not a big fan of the word “schmoe,” but I’ll use it here for convenience’s sake. These women don’t have a problem with guys that find them attractive or that are into wrestling or strength/athletic-based fetishes. What does bother them are the way that schmoes conduct themselves with the social skills of someone who was raised in a barn, or schmoes who clearly don’t respect boundaries and engage in plain stalker behavior, like asking for a session wrestler’s real name. Or worst of all, like this guy is doing, trying again and again after being told “no” again and again.

Again, being involved in BDSM, or being into session wrestling doesn’t make you abnormal, or crazy. What makes you crazy is acting in a way that is unbefitting of a respectful human being.
