Best victory pose that we've never seen

Those who have watched X-Men: Days of the Future Past can confirm that fighting scenes with Mystique, played by Jennifer Lawrence, are sexy as hell. There are foot chokes, scissors, etc. I will do a compilation of her fights from the film at a later time.

SPOILER FOLLOWS

However, there is a final confrontation between her and Magneto near the end of the film. She basically knocks him out and stands near his body deliberating on a choice that will either save the humanity or destroy it. It lasts more than 2 minutes, and only after that we realize that this whole time she had her foot on Magneto's head (or chest, as it turned out), as we see a portion of her body while she supposedly removes her foot (check from 02:53 on in the below clip). I find it utterly frustrating to realize that Mystique has been victory posing over Magneto for over 2 minutes, and we never got a glimpse of the whole scene.

I have watched all deleted scenes and behind the scenes footage of the film that I could find on the internet, but was not able to find an alternative angle, unfortunately.

However, they are releasing a director's cut of the film this year, and there is still hope that one day we might see the victory pose.

It is very strange that in most mainstream movies specially movies made in Hollywood they show only a glimpse of trampling/sitting/vic pose scenes and the camera focuses on the actors' faces,really strange!

I was watching X-Men with my friends, but we only got 2 or 3 movies in, so I didn't see this one. I hope they didn't get to it without me. Either way, I'm not watching this scene until I sit down and watch the whole movie. It's good to know that Mystique has some sexy scenes waiting.

I'm also now mildly curious as to how Mystique got the chance to fight Magneto. No spoilers, please.

Tks for posting this Zweig. I am absolutely with you. I fail to understand why the producers block out the victory pose. They will show a depiction of someone being shot through the neck but somehow its too much to show a woman executing a victory pose. Their "logic" is difficult to ascertain.

I've watched this movie many times and I've never realized it myself. I don't find her in her all blue costume attractive at all though, so her amazing footchoke killing earlier in the movie wasn't much of a turn on for me unfortunately. If it was her in human form barefoot that's another story

Spot on. Just like youtube. They'll stuff on there that most parents wouldn't let their kids watch but anything with a female foot in wrestling or dominance violates community standards. I had a warning for that very reason.
