Honestly, I've never been into the whole blood thing. I love being scissored and such but coughing up blood is a little too much in my opinion. Be safe about this stuff guys

I'm like you

While my wife and I push it to the limit sometimes, we never got into or want to get into the blood thing

Everyone has their likes/dislikes and that's fine, haha. I just never liked the whole spitting up blood, getting seriously injured while having a session or just doing it for fun with the girlfriend you know? I don't think people know that there can be serious risks involved if you don't play it safe lol

if someone is coughing up blood from a sleeper hold then they have had serious damage done to their windpipe and need to go to the hospital immediately. That kind of damage to the windpipe is life threatening.

Any session girl who would cause such damage to someone's windpipe is either sociopathic or utterly incompetent at sleeper holds. Some mild injury to the windpipe is a slight risk even with skilled grapplers but the kind of damage that has you coughing up blood is inexcusable.

It is not all that unusual. You are much more at risk if you have a skinny trunk without a lot of muscle surrounding it. And yes, ribs do break quite frequently. It has happened to me and I'm not exactly a small guy.

Maria Garcia confirmed to me that her jobber victim was spitting up blood after a recent video shoot explaining that she had "crushed his throat". I never coughed up blood however I did urinate blood for days once after I foolishly agreed to practice martial arts with a Korean neighbor's two young daughters.

Sleeper holds should be avoided in any event. Too dangerous.
And anyone who start coughing up blood or bleeding anywhere should go to a doctor.
Don't let this sport destroy your health!
