Default Flamingo Mixed Wrestling Question......

How competitive were their mixed matches?

Sorry if it's a dumb question. Thank you for responses

I believe they became less and less so as the years went by. Their early mixed matches were pretty competitive (Christine vs Herc comes to mind).

I agree with this...early on they offered a money-back guarantee if any video wasn't 100% competitive...but that eventually disappeared. Still, some of their early videos were hard to swallow as real. Nicole (Sasha Lee) vs some big buff fitness trainer guy comes to mind, I bought the vhs and he looks to be a lot heavier than 175...

I remember using a dreamcast to surf the web and came across flamingo wrestling, it blew me away, i couldnt wait to get a real pc to search and buy for real. At the time, they really embraced the internet and the selling of the matches. As for competitive, sometimes the action looked real enough, i dont think a man can honestly go toe to toe with a woman on video and go full on, if they hold back (the men) and still win, well that means the lady wasnt very good.

Interesting, I had the same experience. Flamingo was probably the first mixed wrestling website I stumbled upon as a adolescent in 1995. Always knew I had this interest but seeing it for real was amazing. Still remember my heart racing I was so excited...memories.

I wound up spending 100's of $$ on their videos (the earlier ones). I probably never would have known how much I liked them, except I had rented some from the Fighting Female Video Rental Club. Otherwise, I would have been too skeptical to buy from a company called "Flamingo". Struck me as a name for a fantasy video producer, like Sweetheart or Triumph...go figure.
I was sure that "competitive enterprises" would be right up my alley...but when I viewed one, to me, they weren't even worth the rental fee, absolute garbage IMHO.

Same here. The name confused me too.
Also was disillusioned to find out that Competitive Enterprises does not make competitive matches

Sorting through and throwing away older statements, documents, and magazines today, I came across printed flyers from Flamingo today with a real 37 cent flag stamp. These were postmarked 13 Dec 2005 Ft Lauderdale FL 333 with my personal name and address printed on the stick-on label. These were black and white brochures 47, 48, and 49.

For years, I used to look forward to receiving these brochures in the mail every few months, sometimes in color, sometimes black and white. Every once in a while, the girl and the action would be nearly perfect for the type of match I was trying to find myself.

I don't think I ever threw any of these flyers away.

If you can, scan and post them here. I'm sure at least half the population here would greatly appreciate it.

Gosh I was just going to refer you to the Flamingo website but I see that it is down now. I may try and scan a sample for you, for historical purposes so to speak, but candidly I am way backed up on the amount of material I'd like to post already so unless I hear that this is a good priority it may need to wait a little. Sorry.
