Thanks for the post! It's good to hear from an actual session wrestler with insight on this. Had a few questions, though:

1) Your math makes sense, but I noticed it doesn't take into account when session wrestlers operate from the city they reside in (i.e. and therefore don't have to spend anything on travel costs). Would you say most sessions take place on the road or at home?

2) I was under the impression that session wrestlers who travel purely for work never buy plane tickets or book hotel rooms until they have enough deposits from clients in that city to cover the cost of the trip (or unless someone sponsors the trip). Is this not true?

3) About how many sessions per week would you say the average session wrestler gets? And about how many per year?

4) Would you say most session wrestlers are happy with the # of sessions they get and aren't looking to get more, or are most always on the lookout for new clients? If it's the latter, why?

5) I see that a lot of session wrestlers put their Amazon wishlist on their profiles in the hopes that clients will purchase some of the clothes you had mentioned above. Do you find that this often happens?
Most sessions happen on the road. It’s also unlikely that any one cities clients would book enough sessions regularly enough to support anyone consistently above poverty level. There CAN be a higher profit margin at home, but sometimes the reverse is true. If I have to Uber across town or provide a venue for only one client, that can mean a lower profit margin than if those expenses were distributed across clients.

Everyone has their own method for running their business and travel plans. I would certainly never go anywhere NEW without enough deposits. There are some cities that are consistent enough to book travel early without concern. There’s also a difference between not losing money, and making money. We might book travel st the point of not losing money, and then have people cancel and end up not making any either. If that happens more than once in the same city, I will be wary of returning. Sometimes cities will be randomly good/bad. The risk of any one city being bad can be distributed across multiple cities in a tour for an overall favorable outcome.

I don’t know how much other people work. It really depends on that person. Some people won’t stop working so long as money is on the table, others will have a work limit. From what I’ve heard, we all generate similar interest once we have been around for long enough for people to feel safe with us.

I think that most would like more sessions or at least more consistent sessions. Traveling is hard. I’ve had tours that were so full my body was broken at the end. It didn’t matter who you were or how much money you had, by the end if the tour, i just wanted to go home. I have also had days I just sat around in my hotel room, lamenting my decision to travel there. I place my tour limits at 2 weeks. I’ve seen other people tour every day for a month. I don’t know how they do it. I’d like it if the money and sessions were consistent enough everywhere that I could pace myself. I probably wouldn’t make more. There are limits to what I can do. It is what it is.

I think it’s just another option like video, to either cut costs or increase income slightly. Costs for supplies can add up to fast. If clients buy some of your clothes, that reduces your costs. Having a great deal of success in amazon wishlists is more of a findomme talent. I’m not a findomme. Sometimes clients but me things.

I do offer nude wrestling though...which might be why people don’t buy me as many clothes as dinners and boutique bottles of gin. ;-p

Goddess Anat, I appreciate you taking the time to write such a detailed and insightful post. You gave the rest of us a glimpse into the business side of the session scene. I was curious as to which cities you were referring to as being consistent enough to book early. Also surprised to see you are a gin drinker, I always thought of you as the kind of woman who preferred red wine.

By the way, the link to your Instagram page does not work. Part of me misses the food porn pictures you use to post.

jfm,

Instagram has been taking down wrestlers profiles for a couple years, rather aggressively, even if your content is benign. I enjoyed my profile, and sharing pics with fans, but the gymnastics of avoiding deletion was a little stressful. I had already decided that if they took it down, I wouldn’t bother trying to put up a new one. I haven’t seen that I get many clients from that platform.

I do like a good wine. I subscribe to a wine club.
